Historically, EL AL has been Israel’s only long haul airline, and therefore has been the only carrier from the country flying between Tel Aviv and the United States. Recently, Arkia also launched flights between Tel Aviv and New York, using leased A330s. Now a third Israeli airline plans to add these flights as well.

Fun fact - I flew Israir JFK-TLV-JFK in 2008 on a leased A330 sourced from Alitalia

Israir is the worst airline out there. They book fantom tickets for flights that don't exist and use the excuse of war to not pay pack customers. My experience with them has been horrible and I would recommend everyone not bother with using them, they can't be trusted as an airline. This is my personal experience but I suspect many others have experiences it also. Stick with El Al or other companies for Israel flights .

@Ben - Sorry this is unrelated, but I noticed that BoA is flying its 737 to MIA, and it seems the nonstop A330 flight has been replaced by this flight (which stops in PTY both ways in what I assume is a technical stop for fuel). Doing a quick search on Google flights, it seems that the A330 won't come back to MIA on a nonstop flight for a couple weeks. Any idea why this is? Is it out of service for technical reasons, or did BoA maybe launch a new winter A330 route and take the airframe off of the MIA flight? Just curious.

This would mark a return of Israir to the NYC market. It flew to JFK in the past, using 767-300ERs.

"With the situation in Israel starting to stabilize" You mean....their genocide campaign wrapping up for now?

People can call it what they like or not, but the universe has seen everything!. Carriers were right not to fly there (I do feel for the good innocent Israeli's who have been against the war), it has been tough for them to travel...but then, the people of Palestine can't, soooo.....

May or may not be genocide, I'm not qualified to say. But irrefutable ethnic cleansing going on. Not even TRYING to hide that, anymore.

I invite OMAAT to filter out my comment, together with all the political comments!
Clearly, rape, murder and hostage taking started this war. just as clearly rape, murder and hostage taking are considered moot by some commenters.
Simply try to imagine what the USA would do if attacked in the same manner.
The world also notes that rape never happens to Jews, it is simply denied or ignored.
