Will this effect Fortune Wing Club miles earned from flying Hong Kong Airlines? Will they disappear is HK Airlines goes under, or will they be preserved due to Fortune Wings Club’s affiliation with Hainan Airlines?

the latest news coming out of HK is HNA secured some fundings by taking a 3 years loans with various Chinese banks so maybe Hong Kong Airlines can be saved, for now.

Oh no! Am booked on them in May. Unfortunately booked using Fortune Wing miles transferred from Capital One, not cash, so any refund would just leave me with a bunch of stranded Fortune Wings miles 🙁

They shall be fine as long as HNA is still there. Some HK based Fortune Wing HX-branded credit card might be affected though.

Sad, as people are great.

I do understand though why it doesn’t work.

Maybe a cheap buy up now with investor money to spend until the riots are over can fix it?
