No one "accidently" sets off a stink bomb. This moron needs about 90 days in a Colombian prison, which I'd imagine is a very unpleasant place. Who are these millions that would "follow" this jerk?

How on earth did he have a device on board in the first place ? How did it get past security ? I looked at his Instagram and he is just a trashy tattooed moron with money and no class. How is being 'influencer' a job now? The other day a couple was asked to leave a restaurant I was in as they were disturbing customers by walking around their table taking photos and speaking loudly.
Your fetish really is imagining punishments for others; whatever the story… whatever the misbehavior… it’s always… lock ‘em up, ban ‘em for life, etc.
This is what influencers do to their own kind.

It was stupid on Avinca to quickly punish him by canceling his return flight rather than wait for him to release contents to self incriminate and lock him up for good.
The stink bomb is just a small glass vial containing liquid. Probably looks like eyedrops or a vape refill under x-ray.
It’s certainly not stupid for AV to act as they did since they had sufficient evidence.
Carrying a stinkbomb means he is responsible to make sure it doesn't go off intentionally or by accident. Ban him and press charges. I fly Avianca regularly and their staff is excellent (although Americas' plane configurations have almost no legroom in coach and business class hardly any better - unlike the photo!)
Seems like that would also be a banned item in the cabin, the same way you can't carry pepper spray.
Throw these idiots behind bars for a couple of days, then we see who gets influenced.
I would like to see airlines participate in a universal database on trouble making passengers. You don't need to ban them. Just add a hefty surcharge to anyone on the list. $$ makes people behave a little better. The days of asking people to behalf like adults is over.
