The onboard coffee makers seem very unreliable and only last a few months before they break or is it the crew just can’t be bothered to use them.
With destinations like Graz, Austria and Verona, Italy and as an Aeroplan partner, the 5k stopover options are appealing. Free espresso, even better.
Scenic train rides are in the balance here.
I don't think this would be on the top of my list when choosing a flight or airline.
I think sometimes it’s worth looking into the services smaller regional airlines offer which can be superior to the product of Lufthansa. I really like the coffee services offered by Austrian Airlines. It’s amazing what they offer given the size of the galley. I bet many airlines could learn a lot from them. As a passionate tea drinker I still have to wait for improvements the regular tea offered is usually as the coffee not drinkable.
So … An espresso machine e on an e- jet isn’t an espresso machine in a coffee shop - good luck with economy pax wanting one and getting it
Thank you for injecting some common-sense into the conversation. Next thing we'll be reading about what brand of hand lotions or paper serviettes they have on different planes....(actually I hope we don't see that irrelevant twaddle!) LOL.
OMG, I remember seeing those machines on Door 2 Gallery onboard CA A332 and I chatted with the FA about those machines, they never used it anymore as Door 2 gallery is now a PY/Y Gallery after the retrofit and Door 1 gallery got another machine, and with 12 pax max at J, they can easily run off the machine at Door 1.
The short lived Lufthansa Italy also offered Espresso on all of their fleet. I managed to sample it on their launch day, but then never had a chance to fly them again.
