As a tea drinker, the first airline that takes a step beyond tea bags and tepid water gets kudos from me. Steeped loose leaf Keemun black tea from Anhui would be a Wow. Tea bags are basically the sweepings from the tea house floor.
I initially read that as one item…a spritz made with oat milk and Aperol.
Good. But I hope they are properly prepared, with an orange slice and prosecco instead of wine. Nowadays all too many restaurants and bars cheap out of a proper mixing relation and you just get what feels like the cheapest wine with some stale soda and three drops of aperol.
Finally some half decent beer, but seems like an odd choice for Air Canada to serve American beers in flight? You'd think they could feature a Canadian product?
They are all owned by MolsonCoors and brewed in Canada which kinda qualify them as Canadian beers.
But I agree they should be offering real Canadian craft beers
I’m sure they’re using the canned/bottled Aperol Spritz brand product you can buy in a store.
The slice of orange will be up to AC.
When will they introduce a phone line that picks up and flights that leave on time?
Maybe non deflating business class seats too?
I remember dining at a very revered, Quebec-centric Montreal restaurant back in 2016. Great food, great service. End of the meal, waiter asked if we wanted any after dinner drinks. I requested whatever Canadian whiskey he preferred, served neat, expecting a revelation. He brought it over and I took a sip, raised an eyebrow. What's this whiskey called?
"Crown Royal" he said, and walked off.
Anyone downwind of lactose-intolerant passengers should be grateful for the dairy alternative.
Honestly these items are nice to have but in reality, Air Canada needs to focus on more basic things:
1. On time, On time and on time
Please run a reliable and realistic operation and they damn know that their schedules are unrealistic to begin with. There is no way that your plane will not break, no matter how new they are. Like most machines, they break.
2. Business class catering - how about bringing back fresh breads as part of your pre-arrival meal services? No more plastic wrapped supermarket quality croissant! They are nasty! Just load more fresh breads! Then please restore the cheese, fruit and dessert trolley. I am tired of fighting with F/As in getting all three. Each F/A interprets things differently. Bring back the trolley so everyone gets fruit and cheese, and then a separate dessert trolley with tea and coffee.
Honestly I drink mostly oat milk now so it is a nice addition, but Air Canada has bigger issues that it needs to address before they can focus on these small items!

Just flew on AC today and they claimed oat milk was only for business class. Then they left my checked bag behind.
