I can’t believe it took the airline over five years to get to this point, but Air Belgium will finally discontinue scheduled passenger flights, and instead focus on cargo and wet lease operations (thanks to Klaus for flagging this). There's a lot of short-term money to be made in fleecing investors, as also evidenced by Global Airlines as has been extensively covered here!

Also worth noting that Hong Kong isn't China, as it its legal governance has reverted to Britain following the recent illegal Chinese usurpation in violation of the Sino-British Joint Declaration. Hopefully when the CCP is deposed (by violence if necessary) and governance of China is rightly restored to the present leaders of the sovereign state of Taiwan, Britain will again undertake something like the arrangement under the Joint Declaration.

Great job staying on topic. Its also worth noting that if you express those feelings about the control of Hong Kong while visiting Hong Kong you will find the CCP has a much different interpretation of who governs Hong Kong.

Good riddance. I think it’s only a matter of time before Eastern Airlines and New Pacific Airways do the same thing.

Have a flight on BA from Chicago to Heathrow on October 3rd that is listed as operated by Air Belgium. Assume this is a wet lease situation. Any idea if the flight will get cancelled?
