The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, the only Ritz-Carlton outside Marriott Bonvoy, will finally join the program on December 1, 2026, letting members earn points and redeem them.

I don't really get the brand. There's better high end brands. The benefit of them would basically be like a RC Reserve where you have Bonvoy but it's super expensive and better than a regular hotel. But now it's basically on the Bonvoy distribution system but without benefits. But at that rate, stay at a non-Bonvoy hotel.

*arrives at Ritz Paris/London* “What?! You don’t honor Marriott Bonvoy? This… is an outrage! I demand caviar at once!” — How I imagine some of you.

What's the recommended hotel to stay at in Singapore? The Raffles?

The Ritz in London, Paris and, under Mandarin Oriental in Madrid, have no affiliation with Bonvoy. The only original Ritz-Carlton hotels in North America are in Montreal and Boston with the latter now the Newbury. The modern ones, under Marriott, seem lesser to me. There are other choices.

About time. That said, beyond accumulating and using points, benefits are few and far between at Ritz Carlton properties to begin with. But hey, at least you can earn and use points now.

For what it's worth, this is a nice, though somewhat dated property. The location is good, the views are great; note there is noise from the expressway even on the 40th floor if you're facing NE .

To answer your question: and how many suites?

I generally dislike this hotel and its staff, although it has a good club lounge (infinitely better than the disgraceful self-service cubby hole that the Four Seasons Singapore calls a club lounge.) The hotel is gargantuan, impersonal, and noisy. The hotel's location is poor, and nothing is walkable (not that Singapore is particularly walkable with its heat and pollution at particular times of the year). After 20 years of annual travel to Singapore, I would still greatly prefer any number of hotels in Bangkok or Hong Kong. I am tired of the "we will read from our luxury script and you will be delighted" style of service in Singapore, where the customer is always wrong for wanting something personal or customized that is not an option on the script. Same thing on SQ.

I stayed in this hotel years ago and it was run like a Ritz Carlton. It was easy to be confused by their lack of participation since it is bookable via the Marriott website and they did not do a good job to discuss their non-participation. It was not just about the ability to earn and redeem points but also a lack of bonus for a Marriott hotel transaction on a co-branded credit card, at least at that time. Agree with the other comments about disliking their service but valuing their lounge.
