“we’re not usually cruisers.”
Ironically the lines you sailed on are also “we’re not the usual cruise lines.”
The Frequent Floaters 😉 don't end up as a fellow shipmate of yours either.
So credits to these lines who discovered an untapped market.
Those fish in the Four-Season' pool are mighty big fish .
It's pronounced "Throatwobbler Mangrove"!
"Four Seasons Yachts isn’t all-inclusive, in sharp contrast to both Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Orient Express Sailing Yachts"
This is also in sharp contrast to the vast majority of cruise lines across all price points. I'm not a cruising expert, but I've only heard of 1 line (besides FS here) that charges for any food at all. I don't remember the name but it was a very budget-friendly brand based in Europe, cheaper than even Carnival or MSC. Not sure if they are still following that practice. That alone is enough to put Four Seasons on my "never" list (if I ever find myself able to afford it, that is). Fitting that they would target non-cruisers since those folks wouldn't know they're getting ripped off.
You didn't mention anything about the itineraries (understandable as they can change over time), but I think that's a major "pro" for Orient Express. Being able to book a cruise trip that includes their trains and hotels is a big advantage as well.
