Once we landed we headed towards immigration since we wanted to check out the First Class Terminal (FCT). I actually didn’t realize we’d have access to the FCT until a couple of days before the flight. A while back LH changed the rules for access to say that you need a departing LH F boarding…

Great report. I'm curious what changed about the FCT access policy that allowed you to access it based on your inbound F to outbound inter-European C...

Thanks

Thanks BTA! 🙂

Because the FCT was overcrowded for a while (or so they said), they restricted First Class Terminal access to those with an outbound first class flight. Those arriving in first and continuing in business could still use the First Class Lounge but NOT the First Class Terminal. They changed the rule back to allow those arriving in first and continuing in business to access the FCT.

Hope that makes sense.

Great reports! I've been fortunate to have flown LH 1st many, many, many, many, many times, and I love them. I love the Asian carriers' service as well, but LH is tops for European carriers when it comes to first class service, amenities, and offerings.

Thanks for the great write-up.

Hi guys, a question...
Do any of you know that if I arrive at FRA with a Lufthansa First Class ticket and I depart with a Lufthansa code-share flight operated by Thai Airways Intl on Economy, Can I still use the FCT???

Please reply back to: [email protected]

Thanks

Unfortunately you don't get access, Nakarit. I'll email that to you as well.

Hello,

Thanks for the great post. I have a question please; I arrive from ORD to MUC on LH first class. I connect MUC-ATH business class. Will I have first class lounge access in MUC?

Also, outbound in Chicago - any advice please as to what lounge is available there? (Star Alliance? Unsure.)

Many thanks!

Hi MJ,

You'll have access to the first class lounge in MUC, and in Chicago your access will depend on where you're connecting to. If you're not connecting anywhere you won't have access to any lounges.

Hi Lucky,

Thanks for clarifying! Outbound is : UA, OMA-ORD (econ), LH ORD-MUC first class (yay I can use lounge, at least in MUC) onto ATH (LH business).

The return is: LH, ATH-MUC (business), UA MUC-ORD first class, ORD-OMA (econ).

Thanks again, mj

Yes, you will have access to the International First Class lounge upon arrival in ORD. Enjoy!:)

Hi Lucky,

Thanks a lot. I apologize for this stupid question; but when you say "Internat'l FC lounge in ORD" - would that be LH's or UA's (since it's *A) ?
Happy trails!

I'm happy to help. 🙂 It would be the United lounge, which is also the lounge that Lufthansa uses at ORD.
