Why didn't you take the underground moving sidewalk to gate 42? It is directly under the ANA lounge and not far at all since it is a shortcut running under the tarmac.

What ever in the world gave you the idea that the Japanese culture is "precise"? Ha! Totally the opposite, actually. I lived in Tokyo for 3 years and they are anything but precise when it comes to communication. Trains ontime; sure. Street signs observed; you bet. Clear, precise communication; not a chance in hell. That concept and the one that thinks the Japanese are efficient always make me laugh uncontrollably. 🙂
