New Lufthansa FOX "Premium Onboard Experience" Debuts In All Four Classes
Lufthansa is currently trying to improve its passenger experience, particularly on long haul flights. We’re seeing the airline progressively roll out its new long haul Allegris cabin concept, which includes a new first class and new business class, among other things.

"girl food" , including the piece of cake . Do they have something against sauerbraten and red cabbage , with beer ?
Easily the best airline in the world. Imagine flying some skyteam crap like AF. I wouldn’t fly skyteam even if they paid me
They'll offer that - it's not on the menu, you just have to ask for it specifically when they come around to take your order. Just order "boy food" and you'll get sauerbraten and red cabbage, with beer.
Reading the nauseating copy, I can just imagine how this whole concept was workshopped to death and no doubt involved millions spent on consultants (Roland Berger probably).
The more they keep saying "in future," the more I start counting in allegris-years instead of normal years.
in the meantime, their short-haul service is comparable to the one of a Ultra Low Cost Carrier
And cabin crews will be replaced with East German Stasi officers. (LH Group lost me as a customer years ago.)
E39 …. what utter balderdash old sausage! Clearly you have never experienced AF LP, SQ Suites, EK or numerous other F Cabins. Come and report back when you actually know exactly what you are talking about …. Yes?
We give LH a lot of guff on here, but, honestly, this does 'look' quite nice. I really hope they can actually complete the Allegris upgrades, amicably resolve the recent labor disputes (pilots still on strike, today and tomorrow, May 4-5), and ultimately be a better airline for the next 100 years.
While this all seems nice and fine, I do not understand why this took years and thousands of ppl to come up with. Seems like these ideas could all be dreamed up in an afternoon. Maybe it took years going back and forth with the bean counters arguing about how nice the premium economy slippers can be. But that doesn’t make for good copy.
"Trying to improve." The first line of Ben's post says it all. Lipstick on ein Schwein.
Oh, it looks all so nice in staged pictures.
Then reality hits on an actual flight (So sorry Mein Liebchen, we just ran out. We never carry everything onboard every flight). Or the bean counters at corporate HQ decide the extra few euros per pax is too much of a burden and strip away things bit by bit, year by year..a la Polaris. LH will never be truly premium in the AF or SQ sense. Not even close.
Tell us you're naive without telling us you're naive, sweet innocent child.
".....unique caviar service in First Class".
What? Unique? To serve caviar in First Class?
Poor deluded Lufthansa.
Also lufthansa: only an underseat bag allowed on the cheapest ticket.
The last thing I want is an airline parading an open food cart all the way up the aisle like that considering the cleanliness of typical passengers.
Just had this service last week in First Class. The food was identical to the photos (literally, identical). The service was lovely, although I only ate about 20% of the 10,000- calorie meal.
It was a reminder to avoid crappy US carriers' business class on transoceanic flights. Specifically, UA Polaris is a joke compared to LH First. DL One is better or worse than Polaris depending on the aircraft, but still nothing close to LH First. I don't even want to think about how awful AA business class must be these days.
I wouldn't fly any DieTeam crap, including La Pissoir on AF. Delta makes anything that touches it toxic.
SWISS have been letting business class pax order their breakfast the night before for years. I'm not sure why they're presenting this as some kind of innovation, except that maybe it took them years to get all the policy manuals written to make it possible on LH.
Germany can't get out of her own way as a nation and just keeps sinking lower and lower. Lufthansa really does bring the "German experience" aboard the aircraft!
Have to tell you that first class meals and service on 747 has improved dramatically. To the point that wife and I agreed that there was too much food and the wine superb. On the flight to EZE, only 4 peeps in FC. The purser asked me if she could make up one of the spare seats as my bed. A good idea to have both a "recliner" and a bed. I can honestly say that the FA's worked hard, and all had great attitudes.
I'd be happy if they just paid compensation and apologised to the family of that babysitter the CEO's wife ran over and killed before fleeing back to Germany to avoid justice
Looks like I won't be happy then
Alan, thank you. Those are good 'problems' to have! Did you get the 'nose' (1A/K)? That's a 'dream' seat for us av-geeks.
If you're on-the-ground and confirm it, I'll believe you; but, I read reports that the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) union had served 48-hour strike notice for Monday and Tuesday, 4–5 May. The walk-out supposedly was to involve flight crews at Lufthansa Passenger, Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa CityLine and Eurowings. Maybe they did not proceed.
A new first class welcome card? Please stop Lufthansa, this is too much winning.
Finally catching up with the Far East Asian and ME3 Carriers...
I guess the norm for some are FOX for others.
