I read that he was already "ex", which I think I know why. If not, he will be now. When you combine excessive booze, pills, and a toddler state level of maturity you get this. And BTW at age 49 and his personal habits I will bet he ain't no Chippendale.
Interestingly a debate (well I'm seemingly am the only one on the one side of the debate) over flight attendants that cut off flyers in first class and sometimes make up a fib as an excuse. While flight attendants shouldn't lie, I highly doubt they're cutting off someone that has just a few drinks in flight. In fact some think they should be able to down double after double. And of course this kind of event can happen.
Usually the people who expose themselves are so ugly looking that there is a risk of blindness if you see it.
How about the slap? No charges for that?

Agreed Ben, he definitely should have been warned by the FAs when he showed the photo on the ground. But I will say in the FA's defense, nobody is expecting some stranger to just randomly and openly show them pornography, so the response is kind of understandable. It's shocking. They shouldn't have served him ANY alcohol for the duration of the flight though.
Also makes you wonder what kind of abuses this weirdo committed while he was in the highway patrol. Cops should be held accountable for their actions.
I would be a little more empathetic towards the flight attendants. Most men have probably never experienced sexual harassment. It makes sense they could be a little stunned, unsure of how to react, and maybe think they could handle it until landing.
I hope the airline reviews their policies and training to see how FAs can be better supported in these situations. (e.g. maybe FAs should have more discretion to deboard passengers or stop serving alcohol.) Also, while it would raise many privacy concerns, if there were cameras in the cabins and/or galleys it could potentially record incidents like groping or indecent exposure.

@ Smith -- I'm confused, is your point about the uses of parenthesis, or mentioning he's male? If the latter, it's because I consider that to be an interesting angle here, since more often than not, inappropriate conduct toward flight attendants is directed at women (probably reflecting that most men are straight).
FA’s DO have authority to restrict or cease service of alcohol. Whether or not “Responsible service of alcohol” is a portion of their training at JetBlue I don’t know but that is pretty much industry standard to include some of that in training for any role where you serve alcohol. It’s required in most states for servers and bartenders. I recognize FAs are not technically either of those, but I’d think JetBlue would include it in their training.
Putting that training to use is another story - it can be difficult and/or awkward to cut someone off, especially if you want to avoid a confrontation. The easy/sneaky way out is if someone is drinking mixed drinks to serve them drinks without alcohol (not saying this is right!). Since it sounds like he was drinking wine that wasn’t an option.
Can't fault the FAs for not issuing a warning pre-flight for the porn image. It really depends on context. If you're an FA casually having a funny conversation with an passenger and he pulls out his phone to show, "these were the 2 people I just saw having sex in the airport lounge/bathroom/etc." - it'd be a little excessive to call the airport police to drag out a Mint passenger. Gay or not, it was also a conversation between same gender.

They should not be so obvious on the plane and encouraged by airline DEI management which uses this group to pink collar and underpay straight professional flight attendants and those who do not advertise their character.
It has been common knowledge this profession is loaded with gays since the time the Eastern Airline Steward murder of the 50s in Miami caused such a scandal as a “queer hive” was rooted outed out in a clean city, and subsequently patient zero much later on.
These guys failed at their jobs in my opinion if they were gay at B6. Leaving it at that.

How many assaults on crew, fights between passengers, flights turned around or redirected could the country have avoided if alcohol was simply banned from airports and airlines. But it's inconvenient so let's not discuss it. Easier that way.

When it comes to men, let face it gays have but one job to do and often they profile themselves doing these jobs with gusto, relish, expertise, and all the way through to a happy ending included. Obviously, there was no happy ending with this flight which is a terrible shame for all, but one is not calling out these flight attendants for false advertising by any means.
Detractors take note. All what was said is, “if” the B6 F/A’s were gay, “they failed.” Has the simplistic minds here not even taken into consideration the B6 male flight attendants may have been straight?

Completely dumb post. 99.9% of people who drink on planes - even a lot - behave appropriately. And I doubt these people would act any differently if sober.

Police forces do plenty to ding their reputations even without this weirdo on the JetBlue flight. Black Lives Matter and "Defund the Police" (as innaccurate as the name is compared to the actual goals of the movement) didn't come out of nowhere.
Hi I’m the crew member who he slapped on the butt while majority of your story is correct. There’s a lot of inconsistencies with your story.
We had a lengthy ground delay. He was served a pre-departure beverage on the ground. While in the air he had about 3 more glasses. In total time from when he started drinking was about 4 hr until we cut him off. We believe he may have had more prior to boarding like an Amex lounge or bar.
When we know his behavior as changed immediately cut off. It wasn’t at the gate area if she was made out of love or lust.
His hand motions were very inconspicuous, so much that passengers around him had no idea what he did during the flight when the police came except for the passenger behind them, but the rest of the 15 passengers, including his direct seat mate in 1F was completely unaware.
During meal service, he kept falling asleep, so I woke him up so he could try to sober up. And then he jumped in his seat and clapped his hand and said yay food has arrived…
After he touched me inappropriately. I informed the other FA I’m going to back to talk to the other crew and also talk to the captain.
On the way me going to the back that’s when he was approved in the galley and shows his penis. I removed my co worker from the galley since I was lead. I sent him to the back brought up a new face from economy and issued a disturbance notice. Pilots requested LAPD, in turn they detained him and called in the FBI.
