Seems like many are still better off with AA LP and use AA status on B6, it seems. Just acquired 10K+ LP for a single transaction on giftcards dot com.
Unless you can hit Mosaic 3/4 and really crave Mint.

Seems Mosaic and Mosaic+ members are big losers with these changes made.

I don't fly JetBlue nearly enough to pursue status with them, but seems they are following Delta's lead with those credit card spend requirements.

The biggest hindrance to developing loyalty to jetBlue is that they run such a bad operation. The DOT continues to show them as the most consistently late US airline besides Allegiant - which obviously has no focus on being premium or developing loyalty.
In order to get to the levels of loyalty that B6 has outlined, you will see many late flights while competitor flights are operating with much less delay if at all - even to the same delay-prone airports.

Those are some mighty high qualifying thresholds, especially for what is, at least in name, a pseudo-LCC. though I appreciate the ability to mix-n-match.

So, if someone does a crapload of flying to the hundred or so destinations that B6 goes to, great. Otherwise, I think AA is still a better value proposition.

I live in a Jetblue "hub" city and consistently earn Mosaic. I am ecstatic with these changes as I will use their credit card way more than I do now.

That's definitely an innovative program, especially for non elite. I feel like the spending requirements even for the lowest level of Mosaic are quite high though!

It seems Ben forgot to mention that online booking is going from 3x points to 2x points (pretty significant downgrade) and--as far as I can tell--there's no clarification as to whether Mosaic (all tiers) will still get the additional 3x points they enjoy today.

Also, a pretty big downgrade for Tier 1 Mosaics that no longer get EMS upgrade at booking. $5k airline or $50k cc spend to get to Tier 1 and no EMS?!?

Last, it also doesn't look like they've clarified whether all Jetblue cc's count for spend qualification. If the no AF card counts, that's a huge win for them...but why would anyone keep the $99 AF card, beyond the 6 pts/$ Jetblue spend.

Hello after COVID-19 pandemic I don't travel as much as I used to
I've been earning my Mosaic status by charging $50,000 on my Barclay Plus JetBlue Master Card.
With the new changes will that remain the same or there's any changes for qualifying in 2023?

Ben, with Mosaic 2 do you receive even-more seats at booking for just yourself or everyone else on the booking as well?

Yeah I need to look at it, but:
- They dropped flights flown from qualification...It's only spend now
- With pick a perk, more non-elites will pick to board with us elites.
- Founders Club is now a mosaic pick a perk, it was previously included
- People attempting to qualify for mosaic usually earned up to 20,000 points in bonus, now a 15,000 mile bonus is a mosaic pick a perk

Not sure how this new program is better for someone who is already mosaic, and one who qualified on segments flown...

The way points are earned won't change. Still 9 points per $ for Mosaic for bookings through B6 channels.

Mosaic 1 will be similar to other airline program's lowest status. UA for instance also gives Economy Plus to silver members 24 hours before.

Tiles are earned based on all JetBlue credit card spend according to the e-mail they sent out today.

The NEA lawsuit likely needs to be settled before they go down that road. Why set up a bunch of infrastructure only to have it dismantled soon after by the courts?

Jetblue Mint used to be so competitive price wise. For a few years that was the only CA to NYC/BOS I would take. Since before the pandemic jetblue mint prices have been absurdly higher than the big 3. What happened?

It is not stated if a companion(s) on the same reservation is/are also eligible for extra legroom seats. If not, really not competitive.

I think the new Mosaic program is difficult to understand and as an existing Mosaic member
I feel I will be losing out with the new changes. Sad. JetBlue use to be pretty special.

So...if I spend $5,000, I will get:

- 50 tiles for spending $5,000 with JetBlue
- 5 tiles if I put that $5,000 on a JetBlue card
- 30,000 points from 6X per point spans on JetBlue card
- 45,000 points for flying (9X per dollar spent)

If I'm already Mosaic, will I get Perks You Pick on my way to re-qualifying like 5,000 points per level, etc. Or is this only for those not yet Mosaic?

If Mosaics do get this, then I could earn another 20,000 points (5,000 for each of four levels on the way to Mosaic) if I choose this perk.

Once I achieve Mosaic, I could choose (among other choices) to take an additional 15,000 points or 20 more tiles.

If I went the tile route, that would give me 75 tiles for the year. If I wanted to reach the next level, I'd need to spend $25,000 (on top of the $5,000 I already spent) on the JetBlue card to get 25 more tiles resulting in 100 tiles.

Then....I could get my free Even More Space seat! LOL

For 2023 status, if I've already qualified and they are choosing my tier in 2023, if I have 80 tiles, can I elect the benefit for 20 tiles to bump me to 100 tile level, or are those 20 tiles for 2024 status?

Do I still earn an extra 3 points per $ as a Mosaic member? It's not listed as a benefit. Is that going away?

It's a shame the higher Mosaic levels don't include an additional increase in points earnings.

Does this also mean that I cannot book Even More Space with points at time of booking? I get that it won't be free, but can I still book with points?

Do all passengers on my itinerary get the EMS upgrade at the 100 tier?

I would keep the $99 AF card just for the 1st free checked bag, as I don't anticipate qualifying for the Mosaic tiers, but still will fly B6 enough to merit keeping the card.

Huge changes ! Any idea on the details of the Pet Fee Waiver. I fly to Florida several times per year and $125 per trip is huge if it’s for every trip. That’s like $1500 per year for me. Seems to good to be True.

traditional mosaic members at the first level of the new program are actually losing a benefit of getting extra leg room at purchase. if you're using a jetblue credit card, you'll have to spend 100,000 to get that benefit back.

mosaic members will no longer be able to use miles to purchase even more leg room. That’s an upgrade?

Seems to me they have taken a lot of perks away. You now have to spend more money to get to an entry level. Jet Blue service has gone has gone down hill in the last year or so. More delayed flights then ever before. I few six times last year, not one flight on time.

Will we ever be able to use TrueBlue points to book award travel on AA?

Operational reliability on B6 has gotten much worse. If the airline can't fly me from point A to point B in a relatively timely fashion in the class of service I paid for, the frequent flier program is just lipstick on a pig.

This reminds me of Norwegian's FFP which is pretty cool. The only difference being that with D6 you just pick a new benefit after every X flights (until you, theoretically, have them all), with no formal higher tier in the programme.

Ben, how will this impact AA Elites flying on JetBlue using their AA Frequent Flyer Number? How will AA EXP’s receive flight benefits similar to what Mosaic members receive?

Mosaic 4 seems a bit meh. Much more spend required than Mosaic 3 and you get 1/2 the upgrade certificates. Surely would be better to offer the choice between the helicopter flights and more vouchers. Because the helicopter is like 200 USD one way, but the upgrade from economy to Mint can surely be worth much more.

Problems I have with B6:
-JetBlue Credit card does not entitle you to an earlier boarding group (unlike AA)
-Mint upgrades offers cant be bought at a discount in the app like AA
-other: Lack of lounges for transcons/Europe, website that repeatedly has issues, too few CSRs and difficultly recovering from IROPS.

No one is commenting on the massive downgrade on free drinks to Mosaic members? Now it’s just one free drink? For transcons, that’s a pretty massive downgrade so the airline can save a buck from its most loyal flyers.

My last experience with JB has been poor. The two planes looked like Spirit airlines inside, and the quality of service on the plane and at the gate was poor. I fly over 200k on a major airline and only use JB to go to Boston, I decided I'd rather connect than sit on their old, outdated equipment.

Seems complicated for no reason. Why can't they use the same terms and perks as other programs so it is it is easy to follow? Further, they used to be considered one of the cheaper airlines, but this is not the case anymore and has not been for years.

This article is disingenuous; they've taken away perks from the prior program and not really created new value for long-time customers for the same spend. I'm pretty disappointed in it. I'm not sure why an upgrade to Mint IF it is available is such a big deal. You have to wait around until your flight day to see if you're going to be comfortable? I'm not sure that this is a perk. Not letting me upgrade my tall husband to the even more seats after a 50,000 spend, not happy.

Have been a mosiac member for a number of years. this new program is terrible. Lost the complimentary upgrade to even more seats on booking as well as the ability to use points to upgrade seat for points. You need to spend 10k for “free” upgrade to even more row seats. The “perks” suck and it’s time to start looking at other airlines as they just screwed their existing mosaic members.

I agree 100%, I get much better value with spending on my AMEX platinum. for years i would put the 1st 25k on my JB card and then switch. I almost never drink on the plane and now i pay the extra for blue + 160(both ways) for even more space seats. Also, when it's time to board there's total chaos, have to fight my way to priority boarding.

Those passengers flying on Basic and One above Basic should be rewarded the most points or tiles. These are the people who travel on JetBlue the most, and are those who can probably afford the least. These passengers will fly the most with your airline. Contact me and I can recommend a better program for these travelers!

Terrible not happy at all

I have been Mosaic for several years and I am now re-evaluating flying JetBlue.
The only way to get extra leg room is to pay thru the nose. JetBlue started out by advertising its legroom feature. Now with Mosaic, unless you have spent $10,000 on airline tickets and are Mosaic you can only upgrade the day of the flight. I fly with my better half on each flight and what you will find is a lot of center seats. So how do we sit together? If you add the cost to upgrade to "Blue" and extra legroom on top of this new cost you can fly other airlines for less money. Who has time to figure out what Tile level you are in and what it offers? I predict JetBlue loses a lot of flyers. I hve started flying American and United. I had flown over 800,000 miles with United. If I wanted to play with Tiles I would selected Dominos or Mahjong. There is an old saying " If it isn't broke don't fix it!

I’m also considering migrating everything over to Delta who has almost as many direct flights from Boston, plus more European flights. JetBlue is being too skimpy on the first level on extra space seats. Rather than what we all know is a useless upgrade at checkin option for those who NEED the extra room, they should just up the point reduction. That seems like a fair compromise.
