JetBlue Will Fly To Tulum’s New Airport

JetBlue Airways has become the latest airline to announce service to Tulum’s new airport, following similar announcements from Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines. JetBlue is waiting a bit longer than other carriers to launch these flights, though, and seems to be taking a more conservative approach.

From an antitrust perspective, this makes sense as to why Jetblue is only adding from JFK. They do not want to be additive in markets that Spirit serves (Orlando and Fort Lauderdale)

While so much service has been added to Tulum airport, its unclear how much publicity there is around the airport if consumers know to book tix there vs Cancun.

Now B6? But I thought there was *ONE* carrier "uniquely positioned" to serve that new destination.

Exactly. The trial is (IINM) pending an imminent verdict/ruling, and if they lose, an application to fly from Florida can be swiftly added.
