Its common for airlines to offer some sort of status challenge or status match program, in order to lure frequent flyers who are loyal to competing airlines, but are considering a switch. In the United States, most major airlines offer some sort of a status match challenge opportunity, including Alaska,American,Delta,Southwest, andUnited.

Does anyone have actual experience of applying for Mosaic 1 match but spending $4,000 and achieving Mosaic 3 status?

This is what I've done but JetBlue is refusing to upgrade me to Mosaic 3. If you look at detailed T&Cs of the status match, the language for Mosaic 3 is slightly different from M1 and M2, and doesn't have the words "participants who are matched into any level of Mosaic status" that M1 and M2 status match terms have... I'm wondering if that's intentional.

Did the match to Mosaic 3 a couple years ago, and the Move to Mint certificates were well worth it.

I discovered today that I’m M3 and had no idea how that could’ve happened. I realized I’d overlooked the part of the match that allows climbing to M3. My goal had just been to retain the match to M2, which I easily did via 25/25 flying. However, since I chose to do some Mint gate UGs, I earned Tiles for that additional spend (just not TB points). Little did I know I was accomplishing a worthy goal by treating myself.

I’m thrilled, especially since I now have M3 for two more years. M2 was showing as ending next January, but I guess since the M3 bump officially happened in 2026, I got a bonus year. Love it. And although I have a boatload of TB points from 25/25, now I’ll get +1 point after this month for any paid fares (starts 2/1/26 for M3).

@Randy I don't see that in the T&C on mine (I matched to 2 so maybe the T&Cs are different?). These are the terms in my welcome email: To achieve Mosaic 3 status through the following calendar year, participants must earn and receive 40 tiles within three (3) months of being awarded their Mosaic Status Match. Tiles may be earned for this promotion in only three ways: 1) Travel Spend tiles, 2) Card Spend tiles, 3) purchased bonus tiles.
