As it turns out, IHG Rewards has an award price calendar, whereby you can see nightly award costs for a month at a time. The catch is that it takes some work to find it.

It's useful to show pricing. However, it does not, for some reason show actual availability to redeem at that point price
A quick perusal of July in Ben's example shows that it does reflect available nights at the points price listed. Perhaps your search was for multiple nights in which one of the nights was unavailable? Might be better to piece it together one night at a time if that's the case.
Yes, this has been around for years but as Ben says, it’s not exactly straight forward to find it. If you ever searched for a night that was unavailable then you’re likely to have come across it.
Funny how all blogs are listing this as new even though it’s been around for as long as I can remember. Once again Lucky shows he is smarter than the other players.
This is a useful feature, and really does demonstrate the highly dynamic pricing for some hotels. I did find some Intercontinentals that didn't activate the button to go to the price calendar, which is a shame as I really want to use one of these later in the year.
Following the directions searching for reward nights:
I find a night in London where it says REWARD NIGHT NOT AVAILABLE, so I click the VIEW AVAILABLE DATES - it takes me to the chart....but all the WHITE AVAILABLE squares are blank....no Point Requirement listed at all.
I've used 3 different browsers - all produce the same result.
Anyone else seeing this?
Yeah, I think they removed the feature (or bug?), or maybe the server is not responding anymore.
