I'm a Kimpton IC...It's a great program and they really treat us like individuals.
This integration looks ok, possibly even a positive change. However I probably won't be IC after 2018 since I used the "double stay credit" promos they do occasionally to qualify. Now they'll be doing it with unpublished criteria that includes revenue and other factors. Still a great program if you regularly travel to cities with Kimptons.

It'll be great to be able to book Kimpton stays through IHG. I particularly love their pet policy and wine hour each evening.

I just qualified for IC in 2018, my 8th straight year.
Does this mean that I will have IHG "Spire Elite" status for all their properties or only when staying at Kimpton?
Given how much harder it is to qualify for Spire Elite, this would certainly be a nice bonus.
Also unclear as to how they will convert stays towards a free night into points, any info greatly appreciated!

my kimpton nights did expire, so that the statement that they don't expire is inaccurate.

Not a great transition for Tier 3, they seem to lose out on benefits. No mention in your blog of Ambassador Spire Elite being any different?
