Not sure how many super premium $800 annual fee credit cards are really sustainable anymore, especially with the downturn in the economy.
I’m downgrading my Hilton Aspire card and I would be interested but not at this price point. It seems chase came up with the $795 annual fee by saying since we are offering Chase lounges as a perk, the annual fee can’t be lower than the Sapphire Reserve. Monetarily, the perks themselves (400 annual credit, free night at a mid tier Hyatt) don’t warrant the high annual fee.
Just spend $200k on Hyatt stays and get Lifetime Globalist. Why mess around with all of this complexity?
saw this last night seems probable, also I wouldnt be shocked if a new tier comes out above globalist everyone else has it.
...because $200,000 of spending on hotels isn't feasible or desirable for almost every single person on the planet?
- and that is good - only very few will make it to lifetime Glob. Imagine what would happen otherwise.
This is an INSTANT apply for me. Having just ditched my personal sapphire and relying on a sapphire business (only got it for the upfront points) for lounge access. This will give me sapphire lounge access and super easy globalist qualification.
More people accessing the already insanely overcrowded Chase lounges. Sounds like a great plan. Not.
My guess is the 10x points includes the 5x base, plus 20% bonus (1x) that Explorists get, plus 4x from the card, so it would be in line with the existing WOH card
I'd snap this up if actually correct and the 10x points is actually 10x points. Been spending way too much at Hyatts for the last few years
Looks promising. Ben - Assume I can have both the existing World of Hyatt card and the new one? The Cat 1-4 from that card is worth the annual fee IMHO. They are useful for night before flight stays at many airports I frequent.
The $400 annual credit easy as cash - then add a CAT 1-5, (roughly worth about $250 to me) provides a clean $650 a year in easy peasy benefits against a $795 fee. The 100K SUB would be worth about $2K. With a Chase 5/24 slot for al least a few years. Chase Lounge Access icing on cake.
That card might be a better complement to AmEx Platinum for me. I got CSR primarily for the lounge access and the travel insurance. We’ll see, I suppose.
How soon can I apply or this is just a "Tease", Definitely worth it with the 20 Nights for just having the card.
Supposedly, it was all a ruse: https://www.reddit.com/r/hyatt/comments/1ra2gvq/well_this_escalated_quickly/
This was just CONFIRMED by the OP on Reddit that it was a 100% FAKE post for research purposes for a college class.
