For years, Mexico’s first Park Hyatt has been in the pipeline, and it’s one that I’ve been excited to visit. Well, after a substantial (and poorly managed) delay, there’s a positive update, as the hotel has finally opened! I apologize in advance for the combinations of renderings and real pictures in this post, since that’s…

Hopefully they improve the way they treat guests moving forward, as the service issues during the opening delays were concerning.

Cool. More Park Hyatts are always welcome. And it appears to be tastefully removed from the city, and nearby the existing Four Seasons, Auberge. Once you've seen the 'Arch' once, you don't really need to be over there anyway (besides, that Waldorf at Pedregal is getting dated by now, originally opened around 2009). Interesting how the new Amanvari (expected 2026) is quite removed from there (about an hour from

What idiot designed the decor with off-white colored upholstery? That is going to show every stain.

I just don't who the idiots are that design hotels. Literally, every cushion or upholstered piece of furniture in the renderings (or are those photos?) show off-white fabric. It's like the beach resorts that put wall-to-wall carpeting in guest rooms right on the beach and then wonder why the carpet is sandy.

But, but, didn't you see... Pantone named its Color of the Year for 2026... off-white.

"Now gentlemen, if you care to join me in the parlor, we will be serving white cake..."

So grateful this opened as I have several rooms booked for President’s Day, standard, standard suite, and a premium. Will report back.

Key info needed for us to consider a stay here: 1) Is there an adults-only pool? 2) Is the beach swimmable?

Crazy that is opens in highest category. Spend some time at 6 or 7 to see if warranted first.

Most of the Pacific-side beaches in Cabo are concerning for rip currents, so, it’s not like a Park Hyatt issue, so much as an entire region issue. More sheltered areas like Medano Beach, Santa Maria, and Chileno Beach are generally safer for swimming, but anywhere can have issues. I have a healthy fear of that particular ocean; I stick to the pools there. You do you. Be safe.

WA just underwent a complete renovation and reopened in October 2025. We were just there. It is amazing. Everything is fresh. Service is impeccable. Good use of Hilton FNCs

Minor refresh, not a complete renovation.
