In 2017, Hyatt acquired Miraval wellness resorts, which is awesome for World of Hyatt members. There are plans for the brand to be opening a new property in the United States in the next couple of years, which I haven’t otherwise seen reported.

It's planned for Star Tannery, VA, just west of Strasburg. It's currently outlined as "The Nature Retreat" by Simply Shenandoah. It seems the founders came up with the idea and crossed paths with Hyatt execs to turn this reality into a Hyatt property.

In the Three Stooges short "In the Sweet Pie & Pie," the color-commentary of their failed execution was brought to listeners by a sponsor with 3 convenient locations in Skagway, Alaska; Little America, Wyoming; and Pago Pago, American Samoa.
So too, Hyatt's expansion strategy for all hotels not named "Hyatt Place" or "Hyatt House."
"As promised, the crystal was charged by my elite status. Unfortunately, it was my Bonvoy status, not Hyatt, and my aura for the next few days was tinged by sadness, presumably yearning for my long lost Starwood Ambassador."
Hyatt currently lacks anything west of Washington Dulles airport in northern Virginia, so this will be a welcome addition. Look forward to seeing it completed and open.

What ever happened to this? 3 years later and no update anywhere, I presume this is no longer happening?
