Hyatt & Exhale Ending Partnership As Of 2022

I had a mini heart attack. I glimpsed too fast and saw: "Hyatt.... Extends.... 2022" and I thought they has finally extended elite status and free award certificates.... Sigh...

Exhale was an easy way to stock up base points as it is 10x dollar spent.
Was very useful for the lifetime status since that doesn't track how many nights at all.

I ventured to the spa at Exhale on Central Park South only because of the Hyatt connection and the 10x points offer. The nail salon was private, beautiful, and serene…a hideaway from NY’s bustle. Every member I encountered of the Exhale team was warm, professional and talented. I’m sorry to see this 10x point opportunity end, but I will continue to go there, as will my friend and fellow Hyatt card holder who loves it there for the quality of products and technicians. We’ll surely miss those base points!

The acquisition of Exhale by Hyatt in 2017 seemed weird. And, apparently it was not synergistic: 25 locations in 2017, 12 in 2022 if my count is correct. Furthermore, in 2 visits to Miraval in 2020 & 2021, nothing from Exhale was incorporated nor offered. Why reinvent the wheel - especially with weak 45 minute Miraval classes. The best ones in 2021 were exactly the same format - sometimes even the identical music - as in 2020! Not sure what Hyatt “learned” from this ill chosen acquisition, but certainly the M & A IB guys ended up happy!
