I prefer the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall as well and great to read both of you opted to visit that section. The toboggan ride was AWESOME but for young guys like you I would have recommended taking the stairs to go up the Wall! It's a better perspective, in my opinion, and makes the toboggan ride down so much more worth it. 😉
Wait I thought you and Lucky shared rooms in this trip? If not, did you guys pick these hotels because of Lucky's elite status or your elite status?

@Alvin -- Yes, "because puppies" is hilarious. It's partly hilarious because there is sort of something missing (namely, the fully expressed thought.) but shortening it makes it funny. Because reasons.
What, are we only going to get two posts from Andrew? 🙁 He should be commenting throughout Lucky's own articles (comments-from-the-editor style).
@ Andrew -- The Polish version is called barszcz. I guess, it's important enough to have its own subsection on Wikipedia, lol.
@ Felix - you can get into China using a 72-hour transit visa in certain situations and that's what they used. It's detailed in a July 3 post.

Why don't you try skiing? Did tons of it this winter.one must board the infamous chairlift on skies and the ride up in -10 F weather. Literally. The sign warning to cover any exposed skin was so worn down from all the heather you could barely read it.
Love your writing style Andrew, your descriptions are fun! Your take of the LOT FA's is spot on. I guess you were lucky you had things held together by masking tape as my seat had a huge hole, the support springs actually missing so I sat 3 inches lower than my traveling companion and I'm four inches taller!
PS I thought your puppie comment was funny and I agree with Ivan you need to write more!
