Haha. According to DCS a premium room is a standard room on a high floor at HGI and that is why they can charge well over 160k points per night. ANYTHING BY HILTON IS PREMIUM. As much as I still do like Hilton but the games they have been playing are getting to be a bit too much.

Not only did DCS catch this moron being completely unaware that Hilton's standard awards are completely different from their exorbitantly-priced 'premium' awards, DCS has never claimed that anything by Hilton is "premium", which seems to be a confused line borrowed from "anything DL is premium". Sorry... wrong commenter. BTW, you also should be aware that days of invoking DCS for cheap "likes" are over...
Do you happen to know how Hilton treats multiple rooms on the same account? We’ve got two rooms for four nights during the promotion but at this time they’re both in my account.
Darn. I'm being forced to stay at a Hilton Graduate next week, but checkout is 5/31, so zero bonus. I know 2K points is nothing, but I like to play the game.
Ben wrote ‘per stay’ so it seems like it doesn’t matter how many rooms you have or how much you spend you are only going to get the 4,000 bonus points once per four night or more stay.
Nothing in west but 10-15k is enough to get you properties in many various Asian markets, mostly like Hilton garden inn or Hampton or something similar. If you are lucky, you can also find a few doubletree or Hilton for 18-25k
Glad you provided a link to the promo Ben because it sure wasn't prominent when I logged into my account. I noticed Hilton is inviting me to participate in their "CRM Multi Stay Offer 2026"...can anyone think of a less consumer-focused title than this?

I do have to politely point out you are way over valuing Hilton points at 0.5 cpp.
A more accurate depiction would be 0.3-0.35cpp.
Although at times that can be generous because there are definitely some that clock in at 0.2cpp.
I stay a lot in Hilton properties for work (and thus have tons of points). I have managed to get redemption values above 0.5cpp, not staying at point farms. In the last two years, mainly SLH redemptions. It's like airline miles: if you check specific flights on fixed days, you'll likely get horrible value for your miles -- the valuation is based on searching for the good redemption opportunities, not a random sample.
This. It really depends on the market, time of year, etc. I got 0.6cpp at the Conrad LA last month, and was able to use a standard night redemption on the Aspire.
It's also useful for those smaller markets that are very variable depending on events, like a college town. You may be using 60,000 points to stay at a Hampton, but the cash rate may be $350+. Reasonable tradeoff. Plus the earn rate is just so much better with the Aspire/Diamond combo.

You can justify anything through this sort of cherry-picking.
For example, I got 3.2cpp for Marriott for our stay at the Cairo airport after the eclipse next year.
I just looked and it is now 3.55cpp.
But I wouldn’t parade around those values.
And I am hardly impressed with a $350 for 60K points at a college town. I just looked for Homecoming at my alma mater and I can get 0.9 cpp with IHG.
I agree point redemptions must involve some judgement but Hilton is easily the worst of Hilton, Marriott and IHG.

That is total nonsense. Have you tried redeeming you Hyatt points at good properties lately? Citing a 3.2cpp redemption at a Marriott hotel in Cairo and then generalizing that to other redemptions is just silly. One can get redemption values of 4-5cpp at, e.g., WA Maldives even at 250K points/night. It would make no sense to then claim Hilton points are worth more all around. Great response, which should be a lesson to anyone making a comment like @MM's. One can easily manage to get redemption values of 0.5cpp for Hilton awards by having flexible travel plans and taking the time to look for good redemption opportunities. To this day, I will not redeem my Hilton points for less than 0.5cpp. To just look at a random sample of Hilton standard awards in NYC or Tokyo and then claim that "a more accurate depiction [of redemption values of Hilton awards] would be 0.3-0.35cpp" is to fail to understand how the game is and has always been played. Opportunities must be actively searched and found!
BTW, let me explain that the site host's value of 0.5cpp for Hilton points is the "face" value or internal value that Hilton assigns each of their point [i.e., it's the cost of a point when its issuer sells it with a 100% bonus]. It is a fixed value, which only Hilton can change. The values of " 0.3-0.35cpp" that @MM and others keep alluding to are the redemption values for specific standard awards, which are highly variables because they depend on how each persons redeems their points. They can be as high as 4-5cpp on 5-night awards at WA Maldives or 0.1cpp for awards in cities like NYC during periods of high demand. Everyone, including the site host, is so confused because they mix those two concepts of point values and use them interchangeably.
Lol. I can still regularly get at least 2.4 cpp at Hyatts, especially lower-category ones during lower-demand periods.
A quick search of the Chicago area for tonight is showing the Hyatt Regency downtown (12K points or $337 = 2.8 cpp, but it's actually better because Globalists get parking comped on award nights, a $92 value at that hotel, so 12K points or $429 = 3.58 cpp), Hyatt Centric, Park Hyatt - literally almost every Hyatt property in or around Chicago with a 2.4 cpp or better value.
But IMO, the most important measure of a loyalty program's value comes at the lower-category end. Most people aren't staying at the Park Hyatt or even the Hyatt Regency Chicago regularly, they're staying at a random cheaper suburban Regency, House, Place, etc. So filtering to just cat 1-2 Hyatts, you see the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg ($205 or 4,500 points = 4.55 cpp), Hyatt House Naperville/Warrenville ($195 or 6,000 = 3.25 cpp), Hyatt House Schaumburg ($134 or 4,500 = 2.97 cpp), and countless more examples.
Now let's try to find the best points deal we can get at some random suburban Hilton property for the same night, same area. A random Hilton Garden Inn in Schaumburg is $121 or 35,000 Hilton points (0.34 cpp). A crappy $132 DoubleTree in Schaumburg is 49,000 points(!!! yes, this is a standard reward, not even 'premium') (0.27 cpp). Another basic DoubleTree in Arlington Heights is $230 or 50,000 points (0.46 cpp). A random Home2 Suites in Schaumburg is $174 or 50,000 points (0.35 cpp). I'm not even cherry-picking these; these are just representative of what Hilton offers. Most are around 0.35 cpp; that 0.46 one is by the far the best I can find (but that's assuming you'd even spend $230 or 50K points for a basic DoubleTree).
I'm sorry DCS, but there's just literally no comparison between Hyatt and Hilton in terms of redemption values / return on investment. A suburban Hyatt will be going for 4,500 Hyatt points, while a comparable Hampton, Hilton Garden, DoubleTree, Embassy, Homewood, or Home2 will be 35,000 to 50,000 Hilton points. (Heck, even the Spark by Hilton in Palatine/Arlington Heights is going for 26K, and it's the cheapest one in the search results!)
(Also, mild tangent, but I wish we didn't talk in terms of "cents per point," or "cpp," as most people don't really have a concept of the value of "1 cent" or "1 point." In my head, it's always made a lot more sense to talk in terms of "dollars per thousand points," or "$/kp," since most folks - or at least those who travel a lot - have an intuitive idea of the value of, say, $24 and 1,000 points in their preferred loyalty program(s). "$24/kp" just feels a lot more tangible/meaningful than "2.4 cpp" even though they technically mean the same thing...but I digress.)
Whether its Hilton, Marriot, IHG, etc., never hurts to sign up for these, but I wonder, why do they make us manually sign-up, anyway? Like, is there some fine-print that I'm missing? Oh, see, here, subsection (k), it says, by signing up, you must name your 3rd born child, 'Hilton.' Huh. Wild.
I am not sure what Hilton is thinking; between the cancellation of night rollovers and the lack of decent promos, there is absolutely no point in staying over the minimally necessary nights. I usually spent 100-120 nights a year in Hiltons—not anymore.
Waiting for an email with the subject line: "Imagine where 1000 Hilton Honors points can take you..!!" Lol.. definitely not outta my door
They definitely have changed tact when it comes to promotions - and not for the better.
I love how I am registered for 4 different Hilton promotions now, all of them mediocre. Combining them together makes it almost equal to one of the "good" promotions in the past.
Redemption rates though, nope. Still awful. Find a good redemption, dump. Last good redemption for me was 80K per night at the Hilton Vancouver.

I looked a bit closer, it's 3 and the annual "Milestone Bonus" for when you stay a certain # of nights. There is this one, and 2 targeted ones I got through email offers- one for 2x points and one for "extra points for the net 5 stays you make."
