Seeing as Four Seasons obviously has an arrangement with the VIP lounge, do you think:
a) Four Seasons is unaware of this (lack of) service?
b) This is what has been arranged between the hotel and the lounge under contract - as if a token gesture that makes the appearance they're looking after you?; or
c) It was a one-off just for you (presumably because the VIP lounge was empty) and the lounge staff were taken by surprise (although they shouldn't be!)?

Lucky, you should test the awful Aspire Lounges at Schiphol.
It's a shame that such a modern airport has these shitty lounges with almost nothing to eat.

“Not exactly Creole hospitality!”

That is exactly Creole hospitality! You may not have experienced it in your five star resort but elsewhere this is the sort of service you’d come to expect.

@Ben,

Since the Four Seasons seemed very intent on providing a personal and Four Seasons-level of service in this VVIP area, I think a short note to them describing the lounge experience may be helpful - not necessarily to complain since I'm not sure what you could expect them to do to rectify it, but perhaps to alert them to the lack of service you witnessed. Surely that's not what they're paying for. And if it is what they're paying for, their money would be best spent elsewhere.
