Good luck properly staffing this hotel with staff at the standard one expects when staying at the Four Seasons. They're almost certainly going to need foreign guest workers from the Philippines.
It's WILD to see this because this is going on the site of a former Days Inn where I stayed a few times in the 1990s and 2000s (solid place, but classic two-story midcentury motel). It'll be a fabulous location steps from the Public Market, Charleston Place Hotel, Waterfront Park, and a whole host of good food.
Very emblematic of how Charleston has evolved over the course of my life from a genteel regional destination to a trendy international one!
