i feel like there's a play that might *might* work, and that is on the window rows, so it's not private per se, it is shared with exactly one passenger with cleaning access for the FAs. Logistically tough, but good luck selling that center suite at prices that justify the constraints on individual bookings for those seats - go talk to LH
They probably would do it on one or two planes for like one suite. Then they would do a hype campaign. All the instagrammers and bloggers would go wild. It will be mentioned on any list that talks about the best first class and readers/viewers will often be dumb enough to believe that will be the general first class experience. Hence they will sell more first class seats based off a seat nobody is going to be getting.
Put it on 1 frame. Fly it to Brussels on Tuesdays. Focus 80% of your marketing on it.

That's from October 2024 and it simply needs some tweaking for a "tiny" shower.
Am I in the minority here. I would rather avoid a suite that has a restroom in such close proximity.

I would much rather see in-cockpit toilets to avoid the paranoia of blocking toilet access when pilots need to go.
I’m surprised how widely this has been picked up. Watching the actual interview it’s obvious that he’s joking, and he is saying it to reinforce his point that all the other airlines copy Emirates, and Emirates is setting the standard. “Now I expect all the other airlines to see how to put en suites in first class”.
It’s not meant to be taken seriously. Perhaps this is British humour and why so few have understood his jest?
I agree. Even if this is done it will be only done on a couple of planes but be something that everyone talks about. I think it would be a lot of work to maintain as well and imagine the extra work of cleaning the plane between flights. It reminds me of other aspects of the airline that are just on a couple of planes too.
