Emirates' new Airbus 380 first class lounge in Dubai is amazing and unique!
I've been incredibly fortunate to have visited some of the best airline lounges in the world. I'd say presently the two best first class ground experiences in the world are offered by Lufthansa and Thai. Lufthansa has the First Class Terminal in Frankfurt, which refines the airport experience for first class passengers. You don't even…

I'm surprised there aren't any moving walkways to ensure a relaxed arrival to the plane.
Will the Qantas 380 First passengers be able to use this lounge when QF begins routing their LHR flights through Dubai?
Re the QF F lounges in SYD/MEL, did you take advantage of the kerb-to-lounge escort service?
Jetaway: yes, Qantas will use the same A380 terminal as Emirates and QF First passengers will have reciprocal access to this lounge 🙂
It is very good that they built the lounge so big. The volume that EK does (and is planning to do) demands it. If you are looking for a low key, intimate First Class travel experience, EK is not now, nor will it be, your airline.
Were you able to get the complimentary hotel because of your long layover?
Wow, serious overkill
I'd love to see the Business class floor too though, I'm sure there are way more C/J people than F people
@ Ryan how many of those people would be FC/EK elite passengers?
Lucky, is this for all EK FC passengers, or just those on the A380?
Lucky, thanks for the report! Was there a family/kids area too? At JFK airport, EK passengers flying in business/first class can enter the a380 directly from the Emirates Lounge as well.
@ Erik -- I wasn't since I wasn't taking the next available flight.
@ A. S. -- FRA FCT. By far.
@ wwk5d -- I'm not sure. I suspect anyone could use it, though maybe I'm wrong.
@ Joey -- There was an entertainment zone, which I think was intended for kids.
What a neat concept, so large, including shopping, and boarding right from the lounge!
Have you taken a shower at the Emirates First Lounge? These tiny prison cells are freaking me out: No space, no mirror, no nothing. Doesn't feel like First...
@ SMK77 -- I've heard the old lounge showers are horrible, though the ones in the new lounge were nice.
I'm sitting in the longe now before boarding a Qantas flight. I think there are 3 people in this entire massive lounge, bit strange, prefer something with a bit more going on.
