I have a first class return ticket from JFK to Dubai and am saddened that the A380 will not be flying into or out of USA until next April as I really enjoy my shower at 38000 feet.
I am due to return to Dubai in January, hopefully passenger traffic will have increased enough by then to allow Emirates to use the 380 from USA again.
Hmmm, maybe I need to book this and cancel my Etihad flight that got downgraded to 789?
Hey, does anyone know if there's an overview available of airlines that still have a 'normal' business class service versus those that have cut back their service heavily? Would help with selecting the right airline if you do need to take a flight in these tricky times :).
Wonderful news. I would not want to fly unless these types of usual first class perks are put back in place.
I say that a client should receive the max , experience, as a world comes closer via airtravel . I know that EU trans Atlantic carriers at least two offer a refreshment station by the galley. This is a market tool which isn't exploted by the National Carrier because the funds are directed into another advertisement aspect of the moment. I k how AZ, you know that unforgivable Italian Airline. Does provide the refreshments during the flight, a limited of quantity due to space restriction, not the cost factor because it is there already. It's the lack of determination to show-off the product to the client. Client impressions are the value of the product.
This is awesome news! Hopefully it won't be short-lived. Just thinking about it, are Emirates and China Southern the only airlines operating/flying A380s right now?

I hate to the bearer of bad news but it seems EK has cut A380 service to the US, except for one flight a day to JFK, through October 2021 I have a May booking that changed from A380 to 777.
Does anyone know if Emirates is still flying a new 777 with the updated fist class from JFK? I saw another blogger say that he is booked on this flight this month.

@Rick Meier: Yes, they're still flying it. I'm booked in a couple of weeks! Can't wait, especially now that "normal" service is resuming.
Side note: I wonder if this means the F lounge in Dubai is also reopening on the 15th.
Does anyone know when Turkish Airlines is planning to resume in-flight (warm) dinner - even if not the one they always had, but something better then the current "lunch box" one.
I’ll be the lone voice of descent. As someone who had COVID-19 back in February, after returning on a flight from MXP, everything I’ve read since then has stated that the virus aerosol particles linger much longer in small enclosed, poorly ventilated areas. Accordingly, I wouldn’t want to shower in an aircraft lavatory (without a mask).
For work, I’ve flown six TATL flights in the past three months and six domestic Transcons. Prior to each international trip, I‘ve had to test negative to avoid quarantine. I have a responsibility to my family and work to stay healthy and not turn up positive again and therefore I won’t be showering on aircraft or in lounges anytime soon. Everyone has to evaluate their own risk and act accordingly.
Did this actually go into effect Oct 15 for all flights or select ones? When I check the menus out of DXB flights to Europe on "whats on my flight", they still have the limited drink selection in First...
