This is terrible! This means that there are eight first class seats out of commission until the airspace opens again!
Seems to me that the only solution is to ferry the aircraft out with the crew during daylight hours and providing a communication line to Israel to that effect. Leaving the crew there indefinitely is equally as dangerous but in the ferry situation they at least get the aircraft and personnel out.
Where did you find that news - have seen nothing on all the medai channels I watch.
It is in fact terrible. But I inform you not all EK's have First and so (albeit this one have First), is that more important? If an A/C is shot down it doesnt matter if you're in First or Economy!
In the last 1-2days (Flight Radar) we saw Iranian airlines flying their aircraft out of the country to safety. Why couldn't EK also fly their Plane out?

I saw a cargo 747 flying over Iranian airspace about 10 hours ago or so on FlightRadar24. It was the only plane in Iranian airspace, and the flight was the #1 tracked flight on FR24 with 12K people following (even more followed than an A320 that had squawked 7700 and was diverting). Can't remember the airline off the top of my head, but I want to say it was a Cargolux jet. The plane was originating in China.
If Wizzair managed to get their planes out of Ukraine, this will have a solution too. As for the crew, I suppose the best option would be some kind of ground transportation?

There's another solution - send the crew out via a land border (Emirates flies to both Iraq and Turkey - I wouldn't consider the Pakistani border to be a great option - so they /should/ be able to work something out) and deal with aircraft retrieval later.
Like Russia striking Ukraine.

Yes, unlike Wizz in Ukraine, both Israel and Iran want to keep on good terms with Dubai, so one would have thought they could agree a short ceasefire window for EK to get out.
Huh? There are no sanctions on Ukraine, so it's not a double standard to not have sanctions on Israel. Duh.
There will not be a shortage of gefilte fish as they are found in many offshore areas. The best ones come from around New York in the Long Island Sound. The male of the species is prized for their big matzo balls.

But that would require driving through Iran right now, surely a much safer option is to drive up north to Chalus and charter a boat to Turkmenistan or Azerbaijan, and then a private jet back

Flight continued to Luxembourg. It incorrectly showed over Iran on FR24 due to GPS interference when it flew north of Iran and into Turkiye
Turkish and Pegasus also have multiple A320 family jets trapped in various Iraqi and Iranian airports
