Do you think that other airlines will consider WS status in a status match scenario? If so, it seems a pretty achievable way to get top tier on other airlines too.

I personally don't bother crediting to WS since its revenue based. It's a much better deal to credit my flights to DL since I'd earn 25%+ of distance flown on a discounted economy ticket. That adds up a lot faster than 0.5-5%.

Obviously this strategy doesn't work great for shorthaul flights, but anything cross country or over the pond is well worth it.

Air Canada Altitude generally offers a status match opportunity from WS, Silver matches to 25k, Gold matches to 35k and Platinum to 50k.

I'm a Platinum Member , I booked a family of 6 on West jet vacation and I couldn't get discount on business class for myself and my wife .
Why ?
