How To Pre-Order Meals In Delta First Class
In this, I want to cover how to pre-order meals in Delta Air Lines’ premium cabins, including in domestic first class and Delta One business class. While Delta allows you to select your meal in advance when traveling in a premium cabin, the process isn’t quite as straightforward as with American, so I’d like to…

Food on airlines in Americastan wouldn’t pass for dog food in first world nations.
You can also pre-order in Premium Select, usually just limited to the two onboard options (chicken or pasta) for the main meal only.
If the point of this article is to showcase a gallery of revolting Delta meals - well, then mission accomplished
And I can't really see any other point
How asinine am I gonna be for saying that pre-ordering meals on Delta isn't a big deal, because they're gonna be bad anyways?
LOL! You’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of that picture of a burger, haven’t you?
for what it's worth, I recommend the enchiladas on AA domestic first.
yum.
I have to say that domestic First class meals have recently gotten a lot better on Delta - I’m finding them to be healthier and fresher….(but please stop serving key lime pie or cookies)
Now, preselecting a meal, especially on D1 routes, doesn’t work all the time. It’s a hit or miss… noticed that especially if you preselect one of the special meals for that route. Next time preorder kosher meal.
You can't be wrong when you keep kosher.
I'm not gonna sugarfluff it like Tim.
DL catering is nowhere "best" or anything gourmet, per DOT data or earnings call
But, the Shake Shack burger is exclusively pre order only. And it's one of the better tasting burgers you can have on a plane.
True dat. My friend and I were just talking about it. Give me the domestic hard product of DL, the service of United FAs, the food of AA.
True but it makes a difference if you're a road warrior. I had many, many mornings and nights where I had to run to the gate. You can't tell a client, "sorry, gotta cut you off there or I won't be able to hit Tortas Frontera before my flight home."
If preselect can make their food slightly edible, I would be happy to do that! Even if it just slightly looks less garbage…
Regardless of whatever the AA, UA or any other U.S. airline trolls have to say …. DL is still ranked streets above all other U.S. carriers in the SkyTrax 2024 World Rankings.
The travelling public of the world know the truth, only the ignorant continue to flog a dead, old nagging donkey.
Sorry…usually a useful site but this is a lengthy ‘flying for dummies’ waste of space.
