@ Ben -- Shall we start a pool on when Delta will renege on its implied promise that awards will not going UP in price for travel before June 1, 2016?
I have the Delta Platinum Amex and found a MIA-CDG for 43,500 miles and $5.60 t&f. Just a heads up. BUT, it is only for Delta flights, partner awards are the same as usual.
Maybe a reaction to some of the recent bad press? "See, not having an award chart is good, it can be in your favor sometimes, just like our 5k awards." I guess it would be interesting to see how the discounts track with the revenue costs of these tickets to see if there's a pattern.
It's certainly a welcome development, but I'm not sure modest discounts off east coast to Europe business class fares -- which have been undergoing fire sales anyway about once a month these days -- is really a fair trade off for 830,000 award levels and no award charts.

@Mac - what dates are you seeing? I see little to no reduced mileage business awards before late December. First date I see from NYC area is Oct 26, second is Nov 23...
I have multiple Delta Amex cards and elite status.
@Pete - well this is an "off-peak" promo so they haven't released the bulk of the discounted seats until mid-December (unless you want to travel TG week). Between Dec 20 - Jan 07 nearly every day has inventory at 43.5k each way.
Pretty much all of January & Feb as well with the exception of the Biz travel heavy Fri/Sat/Sun flights (and even then the standard "low" tier for 62.5k) are mostly available.
Two things, Lucky are you sure that AC allows two stopovers in addition to the destination on a 90K RT business class ticket to Europe? Is that only with AC flights or even on other Star Alliance carriers like UA for example? What was the most recent one you booked?
secondly, @Mac, why would you say NYC to LON is wide open through February when there is nothing until Thanksgiving? Your first statement implies that the end of high season and all of shoulder season are open as well?
@ Jon -- Absolutely, you can have one in each direction, or a stopover and an open-jaw. Carriers don't make a difference, and we book these all the time.
