Delta Installing Viasat Wi-Fi On Wide Body Jets

Sounds too good to be true! Bravo to Delta! Let’s hope AA and UA follow suit.

This will be a much bigger deal in the international market and compared to some of the other large global carriers than even in the US.

AA already announced this change. DL is following a leader. . .again.

AA announced Viasat for the new batch of 787-9s due to be delivered, in 2020 and back in 2018, announced it for new delivery A321NEOs. Overall, It's actually DL that's playing catch up. AA's overall internet service, though not free, has always been more reliable than DL's.

Virgin Atlantic have also installed Viasat on its new A339, one benefit of the UK issued Virgin branded credit card was free inflight WiFi but this was through Boingo and alas I fear this perk will be coming to an end if VS follow Delta and there’s been not much noise about VS offering free Wi-Fi to everyone onboard.

@lavanderialarry - I heard it was coming on new AA aircraft but have heard nothing about the current fleet. Free existing Wi-Fi would be great.

American isn't fit to clean Delta's toilets.
