Delta Air Lines has been growing its presence in Seattle for several years now, and has been trying to steal market share from Alaska Airlines. Seattle is a different market than most, in the sense that many locals are fiercely loyal, and like giving business to companies that they perceive to be part of their…

in other DL news, BOS is getting new daily MAD service next year, NCE is new for less than daily service, BCN becomes daily (in addition to less than daily SEA-BCN), and MXP bumps up to 4X/week.

Hey, yesterday 1990 said the following:

"Alright, folks, I've been officially deputized to inform you all: 'I hereby empower you, 1990, to feel free to let them know over there (OMAAT) that I am getting my point across on other sites including Gary’s (VFTW). I don’t need to participate in multiple forums that discuss the same things.' --TD."

Did you really say that? If so, why are you posting here? Just curious is all. I mean, maybe the Delta 12Status subject wasn't posted elsewhere on other blogs, but you don't address that in your comment here, you talk about new DL service; couldn't that have gone to VFTW?

@ TravelinWilly -- Wow, I totally missed that, thanks for the heads up. Was curious what was going on. One of the goals with the recent OMAAT changes was to create a kinder community, so, umm, that's an interesting development.

From the Timcel himself on LALF the other day:

“participating in multiple sites is unnecessary. lots of the content is duplicated and others add different perspective”

Tiny Tim, OMAAT community agrees (esp since your own “content” is duplicated), feel free to piss off now to the other blogs and spare us your Baghdad Bob-style DL nonsense

Similar promotions could be done with the "Fever" WNMA team , with discounts at Victoria Secret . Another promotion could be done for the NYC chess players , with discounts at Carnegie Deli .
Don't forget the promotion for the Chicago Cubs , with discounts on Chicago hotdogs .

Tell me your Seattle hub is failing without telling me
You sure don’t see this with the Atlanta falcons or the Pats or the Vikings, Lions, etc etc etc

They launched this the first year Delta was officially a hub in Seattle and they added their partnership with the Seahawks. Keeping it going doesn't mean the hub is failing. it's now a tradition. It is one of Delta's only hubs with another competitor, and the only one competing with a home town competitor. They wouldn't do it with the Falcons because they have 90% market share, why would they spend the money...

"if you’ve enrolled in this program for around a decade, you’d have around 40,000 miles. That’s actually a material number of miles(save the SkyMiles jokes!)."

Jokes on you Ben.
A decade from now 40k DL miles couldn't get you a ticket out of Seattle.

Surely DL would have abandoned Seattle by then?
