Hey Ben, I know you covered Sean Duffy's Great American Road Trip film series in the past, and it apparently dropped this week online with little fanfare. The reviews have been...not great. Shocking.

Beyond just the series dropping, one episode even has a forced discussion about using points to fund a honeymoon.

Here's a link queued up to just before the discussion to show how awkward a transition it was: https://youtu.be/FIVrmi2nKZk?si=kB6XtUxuw8ijKCox&t=909

@lucky

You want to stay away from girl math, I assume. 🙂

Not that there is a point, but I don't get the random insertion of using points. Based on this "show" being sponsor-driven, I assume it has something to do with that. Is it just United saying, "work in a points discussion somewhere" or am I missing something else? I didn't closely watch the whole episode so maybe there was another reference that I missed somewhere.

Finally, this video has all of 5k views. I think that speaks volumes right there since it's been out a week. Posting it on OMAAT will probably easily double it and then you will curry favor with the head of the DOT.

@dendave It's because the Electronic Payments Coalition is a sponsor - credit card lobby.

@chris_ Ah, that makes more sense. And why it's generic "points" and not specific to a credit card or airline.

I hope they got their money's worth.
