@ John H. -- It depends on your comfort level, really. The changes won't be covered by any waivers or insurance plans, and you may be limited to less-direct or non-premium alternatives. We're happy to help though if you'd like!

I have an award ticket on TK from KGL-IST-MIA third week of August booked through Aeroplan. I'm no longer thrilled about connecting in IST. What would you recommend? There are very few (convenient) options getting to MIA from Rwanda.
@ Zach G -- You can look for alternative routings on Brussels or Ethiopian, but it will require additional connections. Might be tough to find availability right now as well, though additional space could open up closer to departure.

In your experience, does Brussels typically release last-min availability? The Ethiopian flight that minimizes travel duration leaves KGL at 4:40pm, which is too early given that we'll be on safari. SN has a 10:05pm flight with only two seats in I available right now, but we're a family of 5.
@ Zach G -- I wouldn't plan on five premium cabin seats, to be honest. You might be able to find that for as far as Brussels, but almost certainly not on the TATL flight. You'll realistically need to plan on an extra connection, longer layovers, or keeping your itinerary through Istanbul.
We have a Turkish Air flight booked to Prague with a one day layover in Istanbul at both ends of the trip in mid September. There are good prices on alternate flights now. Our flight insurance said they would review a refund within 10 days. Any suggestions?

Hello, young family of 4 traveling to UK for nephew wedding Aug 27, Turkish airline from Atlanta on Aug 25th to London with 1 hour layover in instanbul . We have contacted Turkish only option at this time is cancel the $3500 flight get $700. When should we make alternative arrangements? 3 weeks before going to UK for nephew wedding? We are sending Turkish written letter asking for a credit or reroute. Please advise.

@ Peter -- There's no longer a waiver for Istanbul, that was temporary for about a week this summer. Changing your ticket will depend on how it was paid for, the airlines involved, etc. I'd suggest contacting the airline that issued your ticket for specifics.
