Nice review Ben, Boston is becoming quite the lounge scene.

It looks excellent. I think the access policy totally makes sense (as someone who is not a Reserve holder right now! But probably will be again for an SUB in a year or two). But theoretically, it should present as big a crowding problem as Centurion lounges -- the Reserve customer base has got to be comparable size to Amex Plat? Maybe not.

But the location should also help a lot -- I haven't been to the lounge but anything in the B/C connector is absolutely a hike. Really only makes sense if you are leaving for an international flight or connecting to one.

If you have multiple non-Chase Sapphire priority pass memberships, can you use each one once to access the lounge?

Think so? I am not sure as Capital One Venture X and is quite a bit cheaper and offers basically the same benefits while Amex P is quite a bit more and offers much more. At this point Chase only has very few of their own lounges so I think they are in the sweet spot. Let all PP users get a taste of it and as they open more maybe more people will sign up for the card.

This lounge is not listed as option (in BOS) on the PP app or PP website. Wonder why?

Never mind - they just added it today! It shows in Terminal B with one per year free visit.

Why is Chase completely forgetting what an actual sapphire is?! There is absolutely no branding here. The entry sign should be sapphire blue, there should be hints of sapphires throughout the lounge, etc. Huge miss by Chase - Ben even missed the entryway! Passerby should be walking by wondering what that gorgeous sapphire entryway is and want to get their own card, not completely missing the entrance!

For the lounge itself, it is gorgeous and love the execution so far. I just can't help but wonder if we'll see the offerings watered down as the masses use and abuse it over the years. I can't imagine getting ordered food to your seat when it's overcrowded for the 500th day in a row.

I think this entire concept was a very well intentioned and well executed dream by people who don't fully understand what they're doing.

My husband and I recently acquired the Chase Sapphire card, as we embark on a lot of travel the next few years. (Thank you for helping us decide on which card to get!).

We live in Denver and are disappointed that there are no lounges there for Chase or Priority Pass. The United lounge we used in March was unsatisfactory; overcrowded and loud, with a cheap food court vibe. United said they are remodeling one lounge, which could contribute to the crowds. Hopefully the newer lounge will be better.

Anyway, Denver - if you have some influence, we’d love a Chase Sapphire lounge here!

I was there shortly after they opened. It was a beautiful space, but my main problem was the lack of non-alcoholic drinks, as I was traveling with my pregnant wife. Sure they had cans of soda and water, but in other lounges (Amex, C1) they've really made an effort to include mocktails as part of their beverage offering. I asked the bartender if he could make one, and he made some weird cocktail concoction with champaign and gin (very much not non-alcoholic). May be a niche request, but there are a number of travelers nowadays looking for something not as sugary as soda, but don't want to drink alcohol.

I visited shortly after it opened and it was really crowded. Like every single seat was taken, crowded. The terminal was calmer than the lounge, felt like a waste for me. Luckily I don't go thru BOS ever so the one time PP use won't affect me. Hopefully the crowds die down with the one time use because it is a beautiful lounge.

I would guess yes. That it would be enforced by one per priority pass membership. It would be too tricky I think to match it by name. Too many people with the same name to be practical.

Hi Ben - I'll start by saying your review posts remain unrivaled in the points and miles blogosphere, this one no exception. I also know you're an early riser, and are trying to minimize time away from home now that you're a proud papa.

However, nearly all your lounge reviews are during the early morning hours, and you yourself have said that breakfast has a tendency to be the least-imaginative/least-enjoyable meal of the day. Is there anything you can do to switch up itineraries and try to visit some new lounges while they're offering lunch or dinner? Perhaps occasionally do the unsavory trick of booking a refundable miles ticket, canceling after gaining lounge access? This would also give readers a better sense of lounge crowding, since they're obviously nowhere near capacity during the crazy pre-dawn hours at which you visit 😉

I visited the lounge on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 pm and it was not crowded. Upon entering with my Priority Pass card, I was politely informed that the visit was free but thereafter there would be charge if I visited again in the calendar year.

The lounge is beautiful and the views of the airport are quite unique. It was quite a hike from the main Terminal B gates where I was departing from (yet quite close to the gates used by Spirit Airlines).

It was easy to use the app to order food and it was promptly delivered. I had the hamburger and fries and it was quite good.

The Capital One Lounge also offers individually plated dishes. I prefer this to the usual buffet setup you see at most lounges. My experience with a la carte menu dining at an airport lounge was at a United Polaris Lounge. My home airport will be getting a Chase Sapphire Lounge soon!

Really cool they serve Down East Cider at the taproom. For anyone who visits, I highly recommend you try it. I typically hate ciders, but Down East is unreal. Bummed I can't find any where I live on the west coast.

I visited it in June soon after it was opened. Agree that it was quite a trek to get there and it was very crowded. The food was amazing!

I have the Ritz card and can confirm this is incorrect. It only gets the one per pass per year benefit. They def should be giving Ritz cards the unlimited with two guests and hope thry do someday

Woah! This looks spectacular. I can not wait until these come to airports with Centurion Lounges.
The Chase lounge was far superior to the Centurion lounge in Hong Kong.

I’m based in Boston and am so excited to finally have top-tier lounges here (especially this one and the new Sky Club). Really hoping that Amex or even C1 will eventually add a lounge here too.

If I have more than one non-Chase Priority Pass membership can I access it once for each?

So if you are flying Delta out of Terminal A is visiting this lounge a lost cause or is there a way to make it happen? Would like any insights in case (with enough time before our flight) we could still visit. And if it is possible I’m curious how much time it would take to get between the terminals. Thanks.

I went a couple of weeks ago, from C gates - definitely was a walk. The front desk asked if we were priority pass or csr. They were full and we were put on a waitlist. When asked how long it would be (it was a Friday evening) they said 45 minutes to an hour. After 30 minutes we got the alert on our phone and were let in. I asked if it would have been quicker if I had the CSR and the front desk employee seemed to think so. I guess it’s fair they seem to prioritize their own customers.
The lounge itself was a great experience. Great food and drink. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. I had been thinking of getting the CSR anyway, and as I fly into both BOS and Philly somewhat increasing regularly, it’s a matter of when not if.

I agree with everything here, except about the men's bathroom accommodations. For a lounge this size, there should be more than 2 stalls. I visited the lounge and compared to Amex & Delta lounges, this one came up woefully short, as a line was forming outside the men's room. What were the planners thinking? Otherwise, the lounge is a gem.

I'd love to know this too as we're going in mid-October and don't want to subject us and our friends to a long walk with no results (that's happened before).

That's also my challenge when I go to places with free drinks, but I don't drink alcohol. I feel like bartenders should know how to concoct something non-alcoholic. All you need is 1 in your back pocket.

Instead of lounge in Denver, you have the choice of the Mercantile or the Sweetwater Mountain Taproom. Food is okay (we've been to both on same day with 6 hour layover - we have 2 PP cards), but it makes the layovers a little manageable.

I am a Businesswoman from Pakistan and travel abroad often. I use a Pakistani Bank Credit Card (Meezan Bank), which offers me free dining in and living in many international airports. However, its offers are limited to some countries.

Can anyone share a solution that is better than my existing Credit Card? Any help is highly appreciated in advance.

I visit this lounge quite often and I would say my only disappointment compared to other lounges are the staggered hours of food and beverage availability. Menu ordering and alcohol availability etc. You are paying for access and luxury and everything should be available whenever the lights are on.

No to-go cups for coffee. No drinks in the early am like mimosas or bloody Mary’s till 8. Only two stalls in the men’s room. Pretty big misses there. Otherwise, an amazing lounge.

The lounge is awesome, when you can get in. I’m chase sapphire reserve, and when they first opened, had no problem getting in the lounge. I was so excited to have a nice lounge at the Boston airport, but that was short-lived. The last four times I have gone, the wait to get in the lounge is over an hour! by then I have to get on my flight. I encourage you to review this lounge between noon and 8 PM when you can’t get in for over an hour! Beyond frustrating.
