Flew this route several times last year on Qantas, Singapore and Cathay (always in 1st class). Excellent service in general. My favourite Lounges are The Pier 1st and Quantas 1st. It is worth arriving several hours before departure to fully enjoy them.

Typo in the 'Earning miles for the above trip' section. You list Singapore twice (when you should say Korean or SkyPass the second time). Otherwise, looking forward to the reviews!

Pumped to hear about this trip! Those Singapore suites look so cool. Thanks for breaking down exactly how to booked it and with how many miles + taxes and fees.

Lucky, I was motivated by your journeys. I flew LAX-NYC-FRA-SIN-SYD (quoting Tiffany, “as one does”). 4 nights of red eyes. But it was all to experience SQ Suites again so totally worth it. In fact flew TG from SYD-BKK-HKG just a few days before you. Would have been nice to meet you in the sky!

Lucky, love your blog, so much fun! Very professional/ informative. I travel once a month from Texas to Asia, Europe, Middle East, always in J or F. Have tons of respect for you, even though I fly up front, stay at super nice hotels, long distance travel in exhausting (I’m an old 45 yrs old).
Next trip a long one for me - IAH-FRA-IST-CDG-SIN-BKK-CGK-NRT-DFW-HOU...all in five days, I move fast.
CDG-SIN is SQ A380 Suites, connect to SQ 787-10 to BKK. Curious to fly the 787-10 in new SQ regional J class for the first time...
Very impressed with what you do, well done!

Wow, 200k UR points plus $275 in taxes/fees is a lot...especially for China Eastern & China Southern.

Can’t wait for the new Suites review!

Firstly, love to follow your blog.....
We will be flying to Singapore via Taipei on EVA airlines, Mar. 19..... business class. Have you done this route? We first need to fly TPA to JFK (Delta, 1st class)..... I don't think EVA has a business lounge at JFK but rather shares with Lufthansa, and the lounge only opens at 9pm, Do you think we could use the Delta lounge at JFK since it is actually "post" flight, while waiting for our EVA flight. Also, what do you think of EVA business class??? Thanks so much.

I am offended that Lucky hasn’t taken this TR forward. This intro has been on for a week! The horror!
