Update: This is a reminder that this deal is still available, and also a heads up that my Hilton Honors points just posted. There were lots of questions about how long it would take for points to post, and so far it seems the answer is around four weeks.

Not sure if it's the same for others but for me in NYC, I've noticed for a while now that Lyft is substantially cheaper than Uber. I use my uber credits first and then it's Lyft the rest of the way. Thanks for sharing this info.

Thank you for posting this, Ben.

@Peter, I have always found this to be the case (especially on XL rides), with the exception of my most recent trip from ORD to my hotel.

Can you point me to any more information on this: "Chase is offering 10x Ultimate Rewards points on donations...."

I don't think I've gotten any communications on this from Chase, and I can't seem find anything else online.

@DCA, I believe Chase is referring to CSR as it offers 10X for Lyft purchases, not any Chase card

@Peter, I am in NYC two but found Uber is cheaper majority of time. I think both of them may have price discriminations, I have been consistently finding out that my Uber price is much cheaper than that of my friends’ when we both request for a ride at the same time. However, when I requested for a ride, I always check both Uber and Lyft to compare, though I prefer Lyft due to the ability to credit to both delta and Hilton and other type of promos, still Uber beats it on my side.

It also will keep your Hilton points from expiring until March 2022. I hope I get back into staying at a Hilton or at least taking a Lyft ride before then making this extra perk moot.

Thanks, that was easy -- done! Unfortunately, I downgraded my CSR to a CSP last March, but ... oh, well 🙂

How many times can you do this? Can you do a multiple donating $5 and get 2,000 Hilton Points?

I have never been able to successfully link my accounts - every time I try and do so, I get an error message saying that my request was not submitted.

Re posting if the Hilton points, I got into a protracted email exchange with no less than 5 different Hilton CSRs this morning. They apparently had no knowledge of the Fund-a-Ride promo. I had to forward them the Lyft blog that announced it. They eventually credited my account 2k points, but it was a courtesy credit. They first said it was a Lyft only promo, not Hilton (?!), they then backtracked and told me that my accounts weren't properly linked, which was ridiculous, as I received points for a Lyft ride 2 days ago... Conversely, the Delta bonus points posted without issue after 12 calendar days.

Hilton & Delta & Chase & Lyft what an awesome partnership!
Hopefully we will see more of these down the road!
