Loved Grande Siecle. I'm guessing the price point of the champagne available will gradually move downwards
This is a good change. LPGS is a great bottle of bubbles, but a tad too sweet for my palate after a couple of glasses.

Former marketing/advertising guy here. What this means is the junior copywriter didn't understand how champagne works, nor did their senior copywriter, creative director, proofreader or client(s) who approved the copy at various stages.

I think variety is great. LPGS is lovely but I also think (especially as a GGL with access to the concorde room) trying new things (as long as this isn't just an excuse to cut costs) is great. Looking forward to the Cuvee Louise!
Wow so will SWISS also be changing their F Champagne? They also reliably served LPGS!

none of the other champagnes compare in style or quality. the other champagnes are fine but the GS is much superior to them. I always look forward to the Grand Siecle...sigh
I far prefer Cuvee Louise over GS. GS is simply not dry enough for my taste.

The changed are obvious. If they serve different kinds of champagne, it’s easier to downgrade one of them down the road.
Would expect the Concord Room champagne to be downgraded first.
LH also serves LPGS in F ex-FRA. If i read correctly, Laurent-Perrier doesn't want to sell to travel companies anymore. So i guess we'll see when the contract with LH runs out.
I am in two minds about this ..... whilst I love a change and trying something new ..... I also do not wish to be disappointed and lament past pleasures. This really is a first world, entitled dilemma but fun to consider nevertheless.
If it’s BA and Change in the same sentence then it usually isn’t good news. All of these are better than the rubbish you get in Club.

Lufthansa dropped it too as of this month. I had two flights in F and neither had it. Last year they often even loaded the Alexandra even though it wasn’t on the menu. Now there’s no Rose Champagne at all and a far inferior standard chamapgne
British Airways obviously has more negotiating power if they open themselves to all bidders. When they lock themselves in with one brand, that brand has the upper hand.
That being said, Laurent Perrier now has a LOT of bottles they need to sell elsewhere.
At least they are still serving campaign and not switching to sparkling wine claiming it is campaign.
I love champagne, and drink a fair amount of it. To be honest, I do not like the taste of Lanson Noble. I would prefer most any other premium cuvee.
