80,000 points isn't that big of a deal. When I got another airline's credit card, it was a bonus of 120,000. I would stay away from this card until the offer gets better.
@ Ben -- Unfortunately, you are pretty much guaranteed to be stuck in coach now with these companion certificates. Until a few months ago, you could reliably book cross-country and/or Hawaiian destinations and confirm ugrades (Gold Guest Upgrades or complimentary with M+ fares with mid to high status) at booking if you were super-flexible. Now, that upgrade space is 100% non-existent. As they say on Shark Tank, "For that reason, I'm out."
