I post rarely but I feel compelled to thank you for your recent articles with regard to not only your travels to the extraordinary destinations of mid Asia but more particularly, thank you and the team for your reporting and commentary on the recent developments concerning the recent technology bans affecting the middle eastern airlines. I frequently fly with many of the airlines listed in President Trump's ban and wonder how this will affect my entry from Australia into America and affect my travel across the globe in general. I thank you and the team for your commitment to maintaining a coverage of current travel issues and rely on your knowledge to keep me abreast of and to provide a commentary on issues as you perceive them.
A bit more information is emerging about the electronics bans. Seems the issue is about placement of an iPad-sized bomb next to the skin of the plane (which can be done if you have it with you in the cabin), versus it being stuck in the middle of a stack of baggage in the hold where damage will likely be substantially less.
