Finally, some good news for people boarding and alighting from Delhi. But I also think Air India, irrespective that the original flight takes from Mumbai, goes to Delhi onward to USA. So for the Mumbai or nearby residents, it's still like taking the connecting flights, in a way, if not entirely.
You may mention the recent Air India case, where a Member of Parliament slapped an Air India official for not allowing him to sit in Business Class. Very interesting story, that is 😉
in lieu of the laptop ban for the flights originating from middle east, this is the best thing to happen and a very smart move by Air India. There is no excuse for Indian travelers not to board this flight. The writer forgets to mention the ticket prices.
It is great news that a direct flight from IAD to DEL. But it does not change the fact that AI is unable to sell because of their attitude and customer service at worst. AI does not know what customer service is. They serve food in broken trays and unable to correct any problems. I do not think this route will survive for too long.
AI used to give proper amount & quality of food. But in my recent direct flight from Delhi to IAD, I was surprised to see so little service for such a long flight. With dinner, Sula wine (the worst in the world) was provided which I think should be corrected.
