Diamond status and breaking-even on the AF by using the FNC makes it a keeper card. Reload $50/quarter via UA Travel Bank ($200) and use the $200 semi-annual resort credits ($400) are great, too. Please, Amex and Hilton, change nothing; Aspire is already basically perfect.
You need to re-visit UA TRavel Bank - at least for the Amex Platinum Credits that stopped working
There is an explicit difference between Aspire and Platinum airline credits.
Aspire is a *general* airline credit, which TB still applies; whereas, the fear with Platinum is that the 'airline incidental fee reimbursement credit' is now not eligible with TB.
AMEX needs to stop playing games and just turn the Platinum credit into a general airfare one. Heck, I'd be ok with it being $50/quarter just like the Aspire if it means no restrictions
I'm 100% with you, Samar. Let's hope they get the memo. (tho, I fear they'll instead diminish the Aspire credit instead of expanding the Platinum one...)
@Ben - does the free night voucher also show up in the Hilton app, even though you can't spend it online? Just is been 4 months since I opened the account and no email with voucher code yet received, which seems a bit long from what I've read?
