The network of Amex Centurion Lounges in the US has grown very nicely the past few years, as we now have Centurion Lounges in Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle. This is great news, this, and the addition of the new AA Flagship Lounge later this year, will certainly enhance the offerings at Miami's terminal D.

BIG NO! They should have invested their money on opening the new lounge at LAX instead of pouring on expand at MIA. Is anyone here know when will we ever see new AMEX at LAX?

Even though I've only used the MIA CL a few times, it was definitely crowded but I've never had a problem getting food, drinks, or a seat. This is great news, though, and should definitely ease over-crowding - especially with the belt-tightening AmEx is doing insomuch as who can access the club at all. I'm all for further restrictions on that front, too, in addition to expanding the physical space.

Is it just me or is Amex actively avoiding opening Centurion Lounges in Delta hubs (aside from the mini-hub in Seattle)?

@bobby j Since card members get access to delta lounges when flying delta, I imagine opening their own lounges at delta hubs would be a very low priority.

Was just in the lounge yesterday. Total dump. They should ban children and raise the amex card for to 1k. Anything to shake out the people who shouldn't be there.

American's answer to these lounges? Awful hummus and salty soups. The reason these are so crowded is because airline lounges suck so bad.

Is 50% even enough of an expansion? It seems like every time I visit it is so crowded they have someone escorting people to open seats, asking if people are ok to sit together, etc. Basically riggt at capacity.
