Not sure how to send tips, but was just looking at NZ flights from AKL-LAX for next year, and they're dry leasing EVA 777s due to the 787 engine issues:

"Due to the unscheduled maintenance requirements of the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines on our Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, Air New Zealand has leased this aircraft from our Star Alliance partner EVA Air to operate this flight to Auckland."

This got me thinking--I wonder what other interesting arbitrage situations this would have (787 swaps), as I'd prefer the EVA business seat to Air New Zealand's any day.
