Can I still do this same trip, at the same fare? Can I still do the aa challenge?
I thought bout doing the AA plat challenge since the airport I fly out of is mostly an AA mini hub. Currently Delta SM, got a big trip to Eu so for a few hundred $$ more ill be mid tier. We will see though. Do u get plat status during trial? I was reading bout lower tier elites on other airlines getting gold during plat trial.
I'm doing the platinum challenge on AA now and wasn't able to get instant gold while completing...
@ caveman -- It's the internet and there will always be people out there that are haters. Sadly there's nothing I can do about it.
@ john -- No on all accounts unfortunately. The fare isn't around right now and the challenge isn't being offered right now.
@ Alex -- I got Platinum status for the trial, though that offer was exclusively for top tier elites with other airlines, and not middle tier elites. Other than that they don't really offer any sort of free challenges or challenges with status upfront.
I have multiple trips schedule with AA in the 1st half of next year. However, I'm looking for reasonable business class fares to requalify for platinum.
In the past I've just stumbled across such fares. Are there websites (min. cost) or other resources (blogs, etc.) that make these easy to locate?

It is really impressive how you are able to save so much money. I am a college student on a tight budget, hopefully, one day I will be able to apply these strategies so I can travel more. I actually went to Paris by myself 3 weeks ago.
