For a 'Boston based content creator,' I was disappointed, because he mostly lacks the accent. Sad. Like, if that's really your 'job,' c'mon, mah man, lean-in to it. Throw-in a few 'paak thaa caah's and a 'Dunkin' or somethin. Sheesh. I did appreciate the use of 'buddy' at least. Also, 77-and-humid is relatively 'pleasant.' As for early travel 'career'... *facepalm* rookie, indeed.
Ignoring the guy for a moment... 90-minutes late isn't great, regardless. I'll never tire from saying: I wish we had some/better passenger rights in the US. In Europe, not sure 90-minutes alone would qualify for EU261 compensation, but, let's say, it was 3 hours late, due to a staffing or mechanical issue, it likely would. I'm sure this passenger (and most) would appreciate $200 in compensation for an ordeal like that.
Thanks for responding to another fellow entitled American who blames everyone else for their problems. Maybe Mother Nature will listen to this jerk when planning her weather patterns in the future.
Including Rule 240... where an airline with a delayed or canceled flight had to transfer passengers to another carrier if the second carrier could get passengers to the destination more quickly than the original airline.

Mountain wave activity is common near Palm Springs, especially on windy days, and things can get 'bouncy" during climb out. As for his other complaints, well, welcome to air travel in the U.S.
He's an idiot. For some reasons I get responses from AA's Twitter Team in my X feeds and some of the reasons these morons complain is absurd. Usually complaining about weather delays or other such things outside of the control of the airline. Maybe the responses from AA are just bots but I'd respond, you're an idiot now piss off.
@John and @1990 I worked in downtown Portland in 1998 for three months on a project. No drug addicts everywhere. No homeless encampments on every corner. No dangerous lunatics. Delays do suck, but the average traveler is very ignorant to how airlines operate, especially compared to writers like Ben and their target audiences. Much ado about nothing.

I will say though that AA deals with this kind of complaint a lot more because they have by far the worst customer perception of the Big 3 (+ Alaska and Southwest). AA customers are less happy flying AA even if the product is identical to what their competitors have

At least AA didn't cancel the domestic first leg of an international itinerary at half past midnight on them, 6 hours before departure. They pulled that crap on me twice. First time rebooked me on AA metal instead of JAL and I had to fight to rebook it onto another JAL itinerary, and the second time we got into Vancouver 8 hours later than planned.
I'm sure every (even mildly) FF here has had the following experience. You board on time, taxi a bit, pilot "pulls over," and announces your destination (often a hub) has weather issues, and ATC has issued either a full or partial stop to inbound takeoffs that means your plane will need to sit there a while. How long? It's weather! You can get lucky, it's short, then maybe not. But, they may have boarded and pushed back knowing this was happening or likely. First, leaving that plane empty at the gate can have carry-on effects at the airport not having issues (where do put arriving planes?). Second, an ontime push back may let you catch a departure window of opportunity you'd miss if you pushed back later.
A friend of mine came to the area recently (I live about 10 miles north) to tour Portland while his wife was at a conference. Walked around the city for a few hours before calling me to make plans. Asked me where all the mayhem he heard about was. This is a New Yorker who grew up near NYC and worked in that area until he retired. I hope others don’t buy the George Romey exaggerations.
