After the outbound flight I learned to lower my expectations of LAN service, which is a good thing, because the return was much of the same. This time I was seated in seat 3D, an aisle seat in the center section.

United flies 767s to EZE, so the hard product is as good or better, and with how bad it sounds like the service was, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a United crew worse.

I've flown Lan Chile 4 times now (business) and hard product identical BUT great service. Certainly recommended!
I couldn't agree more, in regard to the sub-par service on LAN Argentina. I took advantage of the business class sale to EZE (so maybe I shouldn't complain too much, since I paid less than an average coach ticket costs). The staff are inattentive and the food (steak) was one of the worst meals I've had in any class on any airline.
The IFE was decent and the seat, while narrow, is relatively comfortable.

My friends say that about airline food as well all the time (especially the United omelettes). Do I really have that unrefined of a pallet and willing to eat most air plane food put in front of me?

BTW I wonder who does the menu descriptions for LAN? Capellini is angel hair pasta. That looked more like ravioli...
Don't know about their business class, but we flew LAN from Guayaquil to JFK in Coach. Wonderful service -- a very crowded plane, but the crew was amazing. Probably the most comfortable Coach seats going right now.
Looks much better than the Delta clamshell angled flat/recliners we flew to LIM from ATL.
Sorry...Yes, I would go with LAN, until now I thought it ran with a 777-300ER, it's actually a 777-200...
