Ben, When you receive substandard service, do you every say anything to the crew?
I know i keep harping on this, but why is it so difficult for these cabin crews to be pleasant? Can't just blame the unions because Delta is non-union and Southwest, which has great crews, is unionized.
Is it a regional thing, do they hate their jobs, bankruptcies have them jaded, really curious? We had a great UA crew from HNL-NRT the other night, just spectacular, but i have found the NRT based crews of UA to be very nice, actually no issue with most of their crews.
Ben, as a Brazilian that flies to Brazil a lot I can tell you that food on the outbound from Sao Paulo is always better than outbound from the US. Well, Brazil is well known for amazing food so you can expect a better catering there. Regarding the condition of the cabin I am not sure where the plane that leaves Detroit to Sao Paulo comes from but the one leaving Sao Paulo is the same that arrived earlier in the morning so I could expect that 12 hours is more than enough to keep the cabin spotless. As for the crew, it is a hit or miss.
Well, it came from Detroit...not much else needs to be said. Sorry, but your messy plane is just a reflection of all that is wrong with that place!

@ Ken -- I typically don't. Sometimes I'll mention something if the service is actively rude, but if it's just indifferent then I'd be wasting half of my time in the sky sharing "feedback." 😉
This seems like such a silly comment to make, but... man, those Delta seats are ugly. There's just something about that bright-blue leather (pleather?) and the "BUSINESSELITE" stamped on the headrest that on their own take it down at least a few notches from UA and AA's new business seats, which are at least a soothing gray.
